He may be trolling, but talking out your ass is pretty common with Trumpkins and golfers.

Like Dirty John about some random sociopath that dated an older lady? That is front-page news for FIVE straight days? Blatant self-promotion of a 3rd-rate soap opera drama that literally zero people had any interest. Trying to turn it into a TV show or something.

The Chandlers are turning over in their grave what has become of their once proud paper.

Did you know they used to not post any sports odds or take advertisements for “sex” (erection medication/male clinics)? They were above that.

Sports page might as well be a Las Vegas tout.

Total, and complete, sell-out. In every facet.

It was the USC poll that LA Times used.

That paper is as total anti-Trump as one can find. Virtually all major city rags are anti-Trump.

True-crime thriller???

I am sorry. SIX front-page stories on something that should be on A&E at midnight.

How did true-crime thrillers merit front-page news day after day?

Because the LA Times is desperate for money and hopes they can partner in an entertainment hit. News would have been reporting the woman died “x” years ago. Not ad naseum about a boring murderer. Who the f&&& cares? Nobody.

You realize the front page has room for more than one story right?

Dirty John was riveting btw. I enjoyed it immensely. If that's what's needed to save newspapers I can think of a lot worse ways to sell out.

This was front center and everything.

Reeked of self-promotion. Along with the marketing of their podcast. Was there toys too being sold?

Six f$cking issues??? Would sixty be ok?

Wait, there is a show! Seriously.

***”DIRTY JOHN LIVE" will include a panel moderated by the TIMES' CAROLINA A. MIRANDA and featuring reporter CHRISTOPHER GOFFARD, plus previously unreleased audio and other material from the case, live readings, and music.***

It’s a f$cking musical!!!! What has our news become?

This is the Hollywood Reporter masquerading with a few news pieces. Since this was probably a success, can’t wait to the musical news the LA Times executive produces next year.

Dear lord. Seriously.

Disagree. There's plenty of room on the front page. It's not like other news got pushed out. The story was riveting. Didn't bother me a bit.

Let me guess. This is Dirty Rotten Scoundrels in Orange County.

Wealthy international businessman meets older women who has had love troubles her whole life. Wealthy businessman doesn’t have money though. It is tied up in his French castle.

Older lady gives him money. Other family members are suspicious. They all wonder why he isn’t paying for things. He also said he was in France, but when they being a French person to talk to him and check out his story, he feigns an ear infection and can’t hear anything.

He convinces her to elope to Vegas. Now they are married, he starts putting all her assets in her name.

One night after a dinner out on the town, they are walking near the cliffs of Laguna. The lady hears a dog in distress. She looks over the cliff in hopes of helping the stranded dog. Her right heel of her shoe breaks and she stumbles to her death.

At the funeral, everyone is suspicious of him. He isn’t as devastated as one would think. He is also sporting a new Rolex and there is a young blonde near his side that nobody recognizes. He says that she is his cousin from the old country, but they are acting more chummy than relatives would. Especially at a funeral for his wife.

The police are after him. Just waiting for that one wrong move...

And then we have the musical number. “We know what you did last summer”, starring Katy Perry as his new paramour. Taylor Swift plays the dead widow. You have a bunch of millennials and YouTube stars playing the kids.

Is this close???

Is this news???

For some reason I tend to doubt you're sincerely this virulently aggrieved about the slow death of journalism. But carry on.

It may have something to do with him being a corrupt buffoon.

It was salacious crap. It is Dynasty/Dallas meets the Orange County with Shannon Doherty. I don’t even need to read it to know the overall gist of the story. Love, sex, money, drugs, and death. Someone isn’t who we think he is. A stranger among us.

It is pandering. Day after day after day.

How much did the “Dirty John: The Musical” set you back?

To be fair, like 250 newspapers endorsed Hillary with around 3 for Trump.

Can someone rid us of this manically disingenuous and uninformed poster?

This golfnutt fellow just registered on my radar. He appears to be a waste of everybody's time.

Calling trump an idiot is like saying the sky is blue. There would be no civil service if everyone who said something bad about him were fired. He has a 32% approval rating for Christ's sake.
12-16-2017 , 09:13 AM
the sky is blue.
12-16-2017 , 09:25 AM
Maybe this is a huge machevellian plan to be the most hated president of all time and fire everyone in the civil service who says something bad about him. Presto massively reduced government and Grover Norquist shoots his load on queue.
12-16-2017 , 09:47 AM
They are absolutely trying to undermine the civil service system.

He is an elected official not an appointee.

Plus he was hypercritical about our previous president. Perhaps he should have never been able to run for Office? How can he objectively carry on the business of the United States with such a massive bias?

"It is troubling, deeply troubling, that the revelations have now come to light that there is extreme bias against this president with high-up members of the team there at the FBI who were investigating Hillary Clinton at the time," Gidley said on "Fox & Friends."
Any minute now we'll be hearing about how awful it is this leaked.

I didn’t think his posting is as bad as everyone made it out to be but yeah that one was really awful. It was probably great pandering to the RW Jews who support Trump already but would be shocked if it changed a single other person’s mind.
