Yea, I googled "Martial Law Arkansas" and came up with a story of one ******ed Police Chief who thought utilizing roving SWAT patrols was a good idea.

He was quickly corrected.

BTW, I'm not getting too deep into this, we have a conspiritard thread for people like you to discuss the thoughts of Alex Jones, but I'm also a lifelong Atlanta resident, and am well aware of the fact that the scurry overhead images of the plastic coffin liners is nothing more than a picture of Vantage Industries, the company who makes these things. They're required by nearly all cemeteries, the black plastic box goes inside the concrete vault, then the coffin goes inside the black box then the black box is sealed and the vault is sealed. It's a public health thing as well as a safeguard against the ground sinking at gravesites dramatically as the concrete begins to deteriorate.

You should also be happy, even if you don't care about those issues. Think of it as a safety net against the zombie apocalypse.

Have a nice day.

I'm waiting to hear details back yet, but the asking price is $900.

I need a lot of information before I buy a random AK for $900 site unseen.

My local gun range had an open house the other day. Completely packed, never seen so many people there. One of the areas was where kids shoot 3 balloons and win a prize. The last time we went shooting, my daughter beat me at pistol shooting, so I thought it would be easy for her.

Unfortunately, it wasn't a pistol, like she was used to. It was a bolt action 22lr. I thought she'd be fine. The guy at the range gave her some tips on how to hold it and she took her 5 shots . . . and only hit one balloon.

Afterward, I asked her what happened. She said she couldn't see the sights at all.

I remembered that she is cross-eye dominant. But it isn't a slight difference. Even with her contacts on, she's 20/20 in her left eye, 20/50 or 20/60 in her right eye (right handed, ldo).

I googled cross-eye dominance for rifles and came across several points of view on the subject. Some say, just close your left eye and keep your right eye open. Others say just shoot rifles lefty. Since she has never shot a long gun before, it's doesn't even involve retraining to shoot lefty, just learn lefty from the beginning.

Just wondering if anyone here has experience wrt cross-eye dominance and long guns.

I knew a few people in the military who had that problem, they just learned to shoot with their weak hand.

Looking to buy some .308 ammo, checking forums etc, some guy has ad "I have 500 rounds for trade"

I PM him, "Just for trade or cash too?"

"Just looking to trade right now."

lol wtf. what is wrong with these people? do they not understand that the USD is like the mother of all trades? you can then use that cash to buy whatever it is you wanted to trade for. or anything else! jfc.

Should have offered gold.
03-10-2013 , 12:47 PM

Pretty much agree. For competition and fun shooting you can just put a piece of tape over the right eye of her shooting glasses, but I'd recommend teaching her to shoot rifles left handed anyway.

Got a guy on my team that's cross dominant. Weirdest **** you've ever seen. Pistol on his right hip, AR in his left hand. We call him Hitman, because we fully expect to see him Dual Wielding one day if the SHTF.

Unless he's including ammo and several 30 round mags that is not a good deal. Judging by the crappy 10 round mag you either live in a dumb state or it's a single stack. If it's a single stack you don't want it.

I hate gunbroker, but check it out. You can spend the same amount there and get a better AK and it's going to come with accessories. My suggestion would be to get a Saiga if you can, or an Arsenal if you want to spend a little more.

Chances are that is a dime a dozen Romy WASR-10. I would not recommend buying one sight unseen. The good ones are good..and the bad ones are.. well bad. Maadi's are similar, but IMO a much better rifle.

FWIW you may want to browse your local classifieds. ARs/AKs have dropped siginicantly in my area.

any of the experts here know anything about .308?

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=331713022

Entered a bid on that.

I have no idea if this is junk ammo that won't even fire.

You shouldn't have any problems. It's cheap, but it's quality. Non-corrosive (or at least it is now.. I can't speak directly to if it was in 1978.)

That was my exact thoughts. For $900 I can get a pretty sweet piece on gunbroker, or even better if I get lucky and score locally. He still hasn't gotten me the exact specs on it yet, but I've seen WASR-10's in the 2-300ish range not too long ago around here.
03-10-2013 , 10:43 PM
If its a WASR, I wouldn't go over $450.

It may not be a WASR. It's hard to say from that picture. The beat up looking furniture and the lack of a 30 round magazine are what stand out to me WRT to the price. I didn't study the picture too hard, but it could be a SAR or Zastava as well. I'm guessing it's one of three, but that's just a guess.

I haven't seen a WASR under 400 in a LONGGGGG time. Not sure when you saw them at that price..but you won't be paying near that anytime soon. Even as prices drop, they won't ever be that low again. They are still selling at $700 steadily.

I live in rural Northern Michigan and go to quite a few estate auctions in the summer. You would be amazed how cheap things go for sometimes. I've never bought guns for a profit there, but after checking out gunbroker, I might just research it.
03-11-2013 , 10:01 PM
dbl can you just get me some of that tax payer free ammo you have at the station?
03-11-2013 , 10:24 PM
Can't help you. Our ammo is carefully inventoried.
03-12-2013 , 07:23 AM
Just bought $200 rounds.

At $1/round.

JFC.

Guys,

Just want to make expressly doubly clear that this thread is in no way a venue to facilitate trades/sales of any kind.

I got a boss that does this for fun. He has over 50,000 rounds of ammo. Some ammo he doesn't even have the gun to go with it. I'd say it's time to sell but he won't. lol He's obviously preparing for the zombie apocalypse.

He has a barn full of stuff he has bought at estate sales. He buys every craftsman tool he finds no matter what shape it's in. He's bought elk mounts for 50 bucks. Just crazy sometimes what you can find.

Maybe he's just a hoarder?
