This is definitely the time for me to devote s coupel hours to learning how to use the jquery library. I could do some really cool slideshows with it.

Cliffnotes: lol trend-chasers

FWIW, a friend of mine told me about this a while back, and also mentioned he specifically seeks out these factory ryes because their output is so good, so take that fwiw

I've got a few things to say. As usual.

Zikzak: I'm sorry you've been having to carry the thread. It can be a heavy burden.

Placeholder: I forgot what I was going to say here. I'll come back to it.

PLaceholder: Again, I had something to say and forgot it.

Movie Idea: A movie in current time where some kid watched lots of westerns with his dad with all those gun slingers, and then he becomes a cop or a vigalante vigilante and he becomes a crack shot with a glock or some other handgun which Riverman would start a thread about. He shoots from the hip, in case that wasn't obvious.

Nobody ever does that anymore, which is why I'm TM'ing this thing. If any lawyers could tell me how to take ownership of this idea, I will edit this post in the requisite amount of time because even though that's against the rules of this thread.....hey...money talks.

pvn and wookie, your contributions have not gone unnoticed, btw.

You will be rewarded in due time.

And I also forgot Happy and Rowcoach and HueHue, and others. That was inconsiderate of me. This is the drunk thread after all, where we all either get along like brothers or throw down behind the bar.

Does anybody else think that the reason they get such bad hangovers is because they can't stay up long enough to drink enough water and eat enough ibuprofen to avoid the inevitable?

I don't remember making those posts at all. fwiw, I finished the site only 6 hours behind schedule.

To date, I have received exactly zero business from the marketing push it was targeted for.

Hancock is one of the best superhero movies ever, because he shoves somebody's head up another man's ass to the soundtrack of Sanford and Son. It doesn't get more hardcore than that.

That's perfectly normal. Happens all the time around here.

Not sure what's going on here.

Completely lost at this point. I get the feeling that I missed large portions of this thread, unless you're one of the many astroturfers on this site, in which case I understand completely. In the drunk thread, we don't judge.

OK, now I get all this. May have had a little too much last night.

I went to the Palm Beach Kennel Club two days ago for the first time. Pretty nice poker room. I thought it was weird that they had the cash games on one side of the grandstands and then a separate room for the WSOP circuit event on the other but whatever, it was cool to see a large amount of people betting on the dogs and whatever.

I played some $1-$2 for an hour, I started with $120, went down to around $65, then with AA and KK within 3 hands I was able to get it back up to $250. Up to this point I was getting a little bored so I stuck around a little and then cashed out. most of the players seemed weak-tight. One liked to semi bluff and I got him for most of his stack (when he had one) haha but I definitely made a mistake going for a flush draw when I probably didn't have the implied odds.

Definitely seemed easier then Sarasota, will probably try to go every couple of weeks once I get my bonus, really shouldn have gone but I hadnt played in a couple of months and I was happy to just break my losing streak, I definitely chase when I shouldnt sometimes but thats what happens when I get bored. God I wish I was good at poker but Im glad the poker room is 45 minutes away, otherwise Id probably have a problem.

I think if Im patient and go on the weekends in the evenings, I can probably do okay. It was nice to see multiple players pull some C notes out on the table. Especiially the one I pegged as a strong player but he proved to be impatient.

A: "911, Emergency."
B: "Yes, I would like to report a hit'n'run."

Lol **** em, I'm tired of feeling bad for coming out a winner, I think that's my biggest weakness.

I'm reading Blood Meridian By Cormac McCarthy, and I feel like my dummening is increasing by the page. Wait, that's not how you spell dummening. Wait, dummening's not even a word!
Spoiler:
Credit: Simpson

But here's my favorite part that I've had to read 5 times just so I could understand it: (A man's father died when the man was very young)

Quote:
Now this son whose father’s existence in this world is historical and speculative even before the son has entered it is in a bad way. All his life he carries before him the idol of a perfection to which he can never attain. The father dead has euchered the son out of his patrimony. For it is the death of the father to which the son is entitled and to which he is heir, more so than his goods. He will not hear of the small mean ways that tempered the man in life. He will not see him struggling in follies of his own devising. No. The world which he inherits bears him false witness. He is broken before a frozen god and he will never find his way.

McCarthy, Cormac (2010-08-11). Blood Meridian: Or the Evening Redness in the West (p. 140). Random House, Inc.. Kindle Edition.

McCarthy was a great author, but he might be the greatest crossword puzzle solver of all time. OF ALL TIME.

1) I meant to put Simpsons, not Simpson. Simpson is not even a word.

2) He's the greatest crossword puzzle solver ever because I have to look up like 3 words per page of his book, and that's not even counting translating the Spanish to English that I can ~kinda~ do on the fly, but not really.

Just occures to me that bouncers have a really boring job... This bar needs a little spice... Still early though..
08-28-2014 , 10:16 PM
I'm goin' out to my car. Get my vodka.
08-28-2014 , 10:35 PM
Got it. Come at me bros.
08-28-2014 , 10:35 PM
I don't know what you call it when you mix vodka and lemonade, but there's gotta be a name for it. A good, hebrew name.

And he hasn't posted since.

"Yo, I think I can take this bouncer."

I hate this 25 second rule. Wookie needs to special mod me.
08-28-2014 , 10:49 PM
I'm tying to imagine an innocuous situation for "the vodka is in the car".
