Although it took forever Im glad the Faux news thread was closed. Thanks Elliot.

Its amazing poker players asserting their command of politics. I wonder if this is because of the gambling ban in USA that forced the "poker community" into some awareness? I still think some need to re-read their history books or find out the parts that werent written from an accredited source that isnt from places like Drudge Report. Just saying.

I think that's part of it. I think another part of it is having a lot of "alone" time in which you're thinking or reading or listening to podcasts. It's very easy to find whatever information you want online. I was first drawn to the forum to find out what was going on after Party Poker closed down. I watched the Ron Paul video speaking out against the ban, and then found the politics forum and a bunch more RP videos.

I bet you can count the Drudge readers in this forum on your fingers.

I agree that it is an immoral act to not press the button but at the same time I think it is a person's right to not press the button. So how can I have the right to do something that is obviously immoral? I think there is a distinction to be made between these two things in ethics but I cannot quite put my finger on it.
10-04-2009 , 06:24 PM
Do you think calling a black person a ****** is immoral, or do you disapprove of it for some other reason?

...Or the third option, you don't disapprove lollol

Obama’s Internet Supporters Are All Pot Heads and Poker Addicts

When I saw that title for a blog entry on a well known political site I thought I should pass it on to you guys here. All that coordinated pushing of internet polls and such is getting some notice.

And there is some truth to the...
Obama’s Internet Supporters = 2+2 Politards = Pot Heads = Poker Addicts

Rothbard addresses this point in the 'Ethics of Liberty'...

Quote:
What we are concerned with in this book is people's rights to do or not do various things, not whether they should or should not exercise such rights. Thus, we would argue that every person has the right to purchase and consume Coca-Cola from a willing seller, not that any person should or should not actually make such a purchase.
So it seems that there is a difference between law (rights) and personal morality (what rights should or should I not exercise) in ethics. Thus, I can say that a person SHOULD PUSH the button but has the RIGHT TO NOT PUSH the button without contradicting myself.

I expect President Nicolas Sarkozy to start wearing moran bumper stickers on his forehead.

Every single ****ing photo goes through lightroom/photoshop these days. So every photo would have this symbol on it.

Valérie Boyer, wow you are such a moron.

Worst link ever.

Clearly the Glenn Beck show needs a warning label.
