Ryan throws his hat in the speakership ring, but only if everyone is super dooper nice to him, for reals.

Was good speech by Ryan. He's the class of the GOP. Still a wacko Randian.

not a bad costume idea, really.

You ever notice it's the bigots who refer to racism and sexism exclusively as "racial/gender based discrimination"? It's like the word makes them so uncomfortable that they can't even spell it out.

We just adopted a new puppy, his resemblence to the Speaker to Be is kind of freaking me out.

Cute dog. I'd put Ryan's odds at a little under 50%.

Looks like Zwarte Piet won't even make an appearance in Holland this year. Guess my countrymen finally realized that a tradition can be extremely insensitive even if it was not intended as racist.

LOL, so this week you want to compare dislike with dislike?

Last time we did this you wanted to discuss like with like as narrowly as possible to show how women don't really earn 26% less.

When does Krampus come out? Is is Halloween or Christmas, or is he always lurking waiting to snatch your children at a moment's notice?

They don't of course, and no serious person thinks so. However, I don't see much point in trying to logic someone out of a position they didn't use logic to get to

Wikileaks has published part of John Brennan's private email account. Apparently John Brennan has forwarded secret info to his AOL account.

why am i not surprised that data security seems to be completely unimportant in the federal government? Probably because no one cares in hospitals either... :cough: not that I would ever do something like that.

Data protection is taken pretty seriously by most govt ppl, just not the *******s at the top.

But anyway, Colin Powell also mishandled email and besides that is his personal email so we have no business looking through it and basically this is the IT dept's fault for not givig him a .gov email.

it's not just docs and potential docs doing a poor job of securely handling patient info, it's every part of the system as a whole.

Have millions of dollars to throw at security? Just buy the biggest piece of **** you can afford, regardless of how effective it is. Problem solved.
