The scale doesn't solve the problem whoever you're responding to described. Selecting "6" on the scale means you're going "yeah, I agree with that statement to a degree (of 6)", not, "Well, it depends on how you define rich!" In any case, it a pretty decently done poll - it's just hilarious that they basically describe "progressive" as someone who wants to ruin the poor, though. <3 the names of political movements.

Just busted from this. Despite having to play with my copy of Super System 2 open to see which starting hands to play, this was fun. First I've played online in months. Thanks, Snaggle.

The biggest problem for me was the "Religion should focus more on social justicey things instead of opposing gays and abortion" question. I mean, I guess I would prefer a religion that was more like that but I'm don't at all think it's my place to tell people or religions what they "should" do. So how do i answer that on a 0-10 scale? It's silly.

At what age does it become okay to not be disgusted with everything you see happening in the world around you?

At what point in your life do you stop caring about anything and become so closed off that the suffering of others no longer phases you?

What am i missing? That Biden article seems completely standard.

Israel moving towards the two state solution, the administration noticeably distanced themselves from Israel. Israel now moving there and negotiating, the administration moves themselves closer to Israel.

I would say 13 or so. You usually snap out of it around age 22-24

It's this line that gets me:

"The peace talks broke down in late September over renewed Israeli settlement construction in the West Bank."

Turned around, the title would be "Hamas terrorists kill children and rape puppies." But it's Israel, so instead it's, "Small oopsie lead to peace talk snafu."

Quote:
NEW DELHI – Michelle Obama strolled with 15 schoolgirls and took turns holding each one's hand during a field trip Monday through a museum of Indian craft work.

Quote:
She delivered a strong message to the girls, telling them to study hard and be educated. She also said she likes to exercise because "women have to stay strong."
Killer insight from Obama.

Quote:
After the tour, the group sat under a canopy of trees and shared mango juice while Mrs. Obama entertained their questions, some of which were probing.
Ok.

Quote:
Fourteen-year-old Manpreet Kaur, who came by overnight train from her village in Punjab, had asked the first lady if American girls struggled like India with the issue of gender preference for men.
I totally thought this was asking something else (and was wondering why it was an issue).

Quote:
Mrs. Obama replied that things in the U.S. had improved and that there now were as many women in universities as men.
This sentence at least made it clear what the question was.

Quote:
Manpreet asked another tough question: whether Mrs. Obama or the president had to apologize first after they get into a fight. "She said of course the president makes up first," the girl said, drawing giggles from the rest of the group. The girls said they were surprised by the answer and would go home and tell their mothers.
No need to tell them something mature about how two adults handle disagreement.

Quote:
Mrs. Obama greeted the 10- to 14-year-olds under a peepal tree, a tree of worship considered the personification of Buddha in India.
wat

Quote:
The girls, prim in braids, bows and school uniforms, pointed out elephants and tigers in ancient tapestries and listened intently to the museum director's descriptions of blue-faced Krishna dolls and a wood-carved four-armed statue of Durga, the Mother Goddess and destroyer of evil.
A valuable experience for sure.

Quote:
Mrs. Obama smiled at a giant statue, and pumping both hands in the air, told the girls "women and power."
