Obama's poll numbers seem to have improved somewhat over the past month. Anyone care to speculate why?
I see a bunch of possibilities, in no particular order:
1. Improvement in the numbers is just meaningless variance.
2. As the GOP debates make GOP candidates look worse, Obama looks better.
3. There has been some decent economic news in the past few weeks (despite Europe).
4. People like the more partisan side that Obama has been showing the past few months.
5. It's the calendar: Every year, Obama seems to do worse during the summer, and better in the fall.
Anyone know what tonight's 60 Minutes is about? Their lede was something like "Congress' approval rating is at an all-time low. It should sink further after seeing what 60 Minutes uncovered in their special report."

3. with a little bit of 2. imo. Also with no bad news (or rancorous debt ceiling BS) an incumbent will always tend to drift upward. Maybe some Libya and pulling out of Iraq.
I think the Congress has to be helping him - he proposes jobs bills, Congress fails to act. People are a little less likely to see Obama as the main problem.

It's about US Congress and Senate buying/selling stocked based off of information they gain from their job. Legal insider trading. I think they're gonna spotlight some Nancy Pelosi investments but I'm not sure. Lots of people doing this.
Atlas Productions LLC announced today its plan to replace more than 100,000 title sheets appearing on the Atlas Shrugged Part 1 DVD and Blu-ray versions sold through major retail outlets. These retail versions were packaged with an inaccurate synopsis of Atlas Shrugged. Not affected were the “Special Edition” versions sold online at AtlasShruggedMovie.com.
The 1957 novel, Atlas Shrugged, is known in philosophical and political circles for presenting a cogent argument advocating a society driven by rational self-interest. On the back of the film's retail DVD and Blu-ray however, the movie’s synopsis contradictorily states “AYN RAND’s timeless novel of courage and self-sacrifice comes to life...”
I think this is a promotion tactic most of the time, but still pretty funny.
Don't forget the expiration of the continuing resolution funding the government next Friday. Unlikely anything fundamental will happen but there is a decent chance things will blow up once again.
It's the weirdest thing that my trainer is ready to take up arms about the pipeline, but on the Chiefs' forum politard section, which is right of Rush Limbaugh - not a peep about it.
Dont worry, in a few days he will probably read that the opposition of it includes the Republican party in a couple of the states it is routed through so he will rage about Obama's federal government trying to force it on them. He wont realise the irony even after you point it out.
anyone catch 60 minutes tonight? The first segment was on members of congress legally trading based on non-public information. Must be nice to exempt yourself from the laws you write.
I don't know why you hate success. If an oil company offered you a job at twice your salary you would be thrilled and take it in a second. I hope the oil companies can get past Obama, make billions and hire you and all your liberal friends. I hope the oil companies make twice as much money next year! I haven't watched the news since last week, it's infuriating seeing our country destroyed. I'll watch next November.
Sounds like my trainer is wining down from this political bender.
