Kju spent most of his youth in a switzerland.

Imo this makes it likely the old military generals dont like him much.

It also means its rather unlikely hes actually delusional.

Volatile mix for someone quite literally fighting for his life.

You need to pre-emptive strike their asses.

You know you have your own nukes, right? Do it yourself. We're saving ours for Iran.

Don't worry guys, Canada's got this one. We'll drop maple syrup on them and then they'll be all sticky like.

Your two second analysis is just crap to make you feel better. I wish I was so simple minded that it made me feel better.

Do we really know how China would react to us funneling in troops over there in the event something jumped off? Is the nuclear option off the table since the fallout would reach China? If we can't nuke them what are our options if we go to war? I just don't see this playing out well for us because their military is massive and I don't see us backing down either. Imagine what would happen if we had some psychotic repub like Bush presiding over this? That could happen 3 years and change from right now. I would say that NK would be attacked under the Bush doctrine inasmuch as it was an actual doctrine and not just an excuse. We know they have nukes and they said they are aimed at us. At this point even a Barrack Obama has to be thinking how stupid he would feel if NK did take a shot, get lucky and hit Guam. I could see the embarrassment Barrack's face as he answers the accusation "They said they were going to do it. Why didn't you strike at that point?"
Not getting scared at irrelevant non-dangerous things is a pretty good policy imo. I hope you don't watch tv news.

LirvA vs. Shoe is one of those standoffs that I hope ends with the internet equivalent of Reservoir Dogs.

Sure is.

I'm now in China though. I can say that China really wants everything to stay chill. They want the buffer zone to stay a buffer zone. They want to continue trading with NK.

I am also quite sure that they will not back NK if it moves first because China does not want to be seen as a supporter of a psychotic dictatorship. If the US were to attack first, then China would definitely get involved in protecting their buffer zone.

This is just more of the same nonsense we heard from his father in the past.

Can anyone tell me what the relationship is like between China and South Korea as well as between North Korea and Japan?

Pretty good and abysmal, respectively.

Not great and pretty bad, respectively. S.K. doesn't appreciate China's tacit support for the North, and N.K. views Japan with hostility because it's a key U.S. ally.

Arguably in recent years though, N.K. has taken to viewing the U.S. as its chief adversary rather than S.K. That's partly a result of pre-2007 Bush foreign policy and partly a result of the increasing paranoia of the most recent two rulers.

Pretty good in what sense? Yes, they're trading partners, but China's ties to the North are a real sore spot in the relationship.

My impression is that there may be some tensions, but no open hostility like between China and Japan.

America is also responsible for many deaths in the countries where they overthrew the government and setup dictators.

I don't have the time right now to list all of them, but an example is:
1954 Guatemalan coup d'état

and if someone has a lot of free time they could start listing off all the countries the US tried to exploit for their own financial gain, to the determent of the local people.
