You'd prefer rounds that travel right through the intended target and hit things behind the target?

goofball, that might as well be a white flag

If you want to argue that people own AR-15s in order to use frangible rounds, go for it.
Oh, so you mean like "varmint loads"?

Unclear only from the mud stirred up.

The purpose of the amendment was to insure that states retained military forces and the federal government did not have a monopoly on organized violence.

A right for non militia members to own guns would need to derive from the Constitutional right to own property.

BREAKING UPDATE: First reports coming in confirm that the 4th amendment is alive and well. Citizens in mass utilize 'finger guns' to identify residences containing firearms not previously surrendered providing probable cause for legal searches.

I'll never understand where th guns nuts get off saying "don't use a tragedy to advance a political goal"

What's the political goal being advanced? Why do you think people want stronger gun control? Politically..???

It's because stronger gun control laws would prevent some of this ****, so eff your games/investment/"self-defense"
12-16-2012 , 01:03 PM
Cphoya, why don't you fill the forum in on the history of the .223 and how it gained popularity?

Well, you have a choice. You can attempt to craft some sort of policy that will actually work, or you can pass some emotive nonsense named after the victim of a tragedy.

Laws that pass under the latter choice are almost all really stupid laws.

No, there's actually not much overlap at all.

Nice try though.

You really think those members of Congress that STILL oppose the Civil Rights Act aren't also some of the biggest recipients of NRA donations?

I'm not getting into this, because it's OT, but your understanding of PC is even worse than your understanding of firearms.

how cute, the guy using pissing on children's graves as an example says I don't understand PC.

Calling them nutjobs is a cop out as well because they were normal enough to not be institutionalized etc before the murders.

That's a lovely goalpost shift.

Clearly you were saying gun owners are racist.

Now that you're backing off that ******ed position, I'll agree that the NRA supports douchenozzle congresspeople who may be racist.

Of course I'm also forced to point out that's irrelevant to what you said initially.

You do realize that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was supported by a larger percentage of Republicans in Congress than Democrats, right?

I was merely pointing out that there is, in fact, overlap.

It's like the creationist tacit of saying their views on the origin of humans are religious so evolution is a religious idea that doesn't belong in science.

Nor do you understand analogy.

The terminology was meant to be offensive. Intentionally. I'm glad you were offended. You should be. The road you were attempting to go down (and goofball still is going down) is disgusting. Using dead children as a means to advance your long running political agenda of control isn't something to be proud of.

Really?

Do you not know the history of political parties in this country?

Republicans and Democrats today are completely different than they were in 1964, primarily because of the Civil Rights Act.

I know you can read, so I guess you're just being a joke.

He claimed there was no use for .223 rounds other than tearing human bones and flesh. .

.223 ammuniton is popular for varmint hunting

I've already proposed a basic framework.

Quote:
To get a gun in Japan, first, you have to attend an all-day class and pass a written test, which are held only once per month. You also must take and pass a shooting range class. Then, head over to a hospital for a mental test and drug test (Japan is unusual in that potential gun owners must affirmatively prove their mental fitness), which you'll file with the police. Finally, pass a rigorous background check for any criminal record or association with criminal or extremist groups, and you will be the proud new owner of your shotgun or air rifle. Just don't forget to provide police with documentation on the specific location of the gun in your home, as well as the ammo, both of which must be locked and stored separately. And remember to have the police inspect the gun once per year and to re-take the class and exam every three years.
