Uh, they've always been racist. After you guys lose this argument every single ****ing time you'd think at some point you'd drop the knee-jerk skepticism and give us the tiniest ****ing benefit of the doubt.

I'm really interested in what grievance Marn is developing here. Its English is so bad it's tough to tell, but its obviously real angry about something, and there's no way the end result won't be AMAZING.

That is a tinted view, it has at least as much to do with labor job protectionism as xenophobia, also much of the reason for this currency fall has to do with how entrenched GB is in the EU system. Norway and Iceland has done fine staying outside.

I am disappointed that brexit won, but mostly for personal financial reasons.

Haha, I have no idea what grievance you are developing!

So no substance here, just another hit and run ad hominem attack a la Fly.

The anti-immigrant sentiment isnt surprising based upon how the leave campaign acted but why are so much of them against the Internet? Also the fact that basically half of both sides are against capitalism is pretty crazy.

the chart needs a lot of work. It's nearly incomprehensible (ex. what % of respondents total said multiculturalism is bad? 1% 80%?), but it does make a good point

When they show 71% of leave voters think the internet is bad that's a red flag and it makes me question the validity of the entire survey. Did they find some group of Mennonites in the UK to survey, or did they just make everything up?
06-24-2016 , 03:56 PM
you're reading it wrong because it's a terribly designed graphic. 71% of voters who think the internet is a bad thing were Leave voters, not the other way around.

What percent of voters thought the internet was a bad thing? Who knows.
06-24-2016 , 04:04 PM
Ah, now I see.
06-24-2016 , 05:32 PM
Not a puzzle guys, old people, white people, racists and the right voted to leave.

I'm no conspiracy theorist - but is it strange that a day + later - the german movie theater dude hasn't really had a lot of resolution - no name - was it suicide? did he hurt people or was it the police tear gas?

I don't find any summary - but maybe I just suck at the google?
06-24-2016 , 06:32 PM
It was a 19 year old German national who was intent on comitting suicide and quite likely mentally ill. The articles don't mention his name. I don't know if it hasn't been released or if the media purposely don't want to give him his 15 minutes of fame.

Its probably even worse than that, because a pretty reasonable inference (though obviously not the inference they were going for) is simply that people who think that things are BAAADDDDD are the ones voting for leaving, which is, ya know, a change to the status quo. It isnt clear that everyone who took the poll had to vote on 5 things they thought were a force for ill and 5 things they thought were a force for good. People who are upset, disillusioned, unhappy about things, find things ILL, voted for leave. those who were happy, doing well, had no problems with the status quo, thought things were GOOD, voted for remain.

Eighty-year-olds, dude. Eighty-year-olds.
06-25-2016 , 09:59 AM
I'd imagine 80 year olds find the Internet a force for neutral, as in it barely affects their lives.

At worst, some e-thief scams their pension from them as opposed to some televangelist.

You're thinking about how it actually affects them, not how they feel it affects them, though. Crucial difference.

Sounds like he just really hated gay people.

What kind of weirdo lies and says they had gay sex with a terrorist? It seems like there are other ways to get on TV if you really care that much about it.
