Its pretty funny.

Its fine to blame NRA lobbying and donations for directing the country in how it legislates and enforces the law. Yet no one is allowed to say that the America Jewish lobbying groups do the exact same thing.

Speaking the truth about Israel ends up getting you called anti Semitic. Meanwhile if you say there were good Nazis chanting the Jews will not replace us and blood and soil no one will say a thing.

America is so influenced by Israeli power that it is undermining the constitutional rights of citizens in order to stop the BDS movement. Its crazy.
They are wasting their money because with or without the Jewish lobby we would be Israel's ally to protect "our oil" anyway.

TD I recommend you read up on the diseases we vaccinate for. Just a couple/few generations ago some of this diseases were widespread, prevelant and a massive health issue.

That we were able to wrangle these diseases from widespread debilitation of the population to bear eradication is amazing. Even if everything this nutjob anti vaxxers said was true it would still be better for everyone to get vaccinated. Of course non of it is true so it is not even a question.

As for the flu vaccine, if you ever get a five alarm case of the flu you absolutely would never miss another flu shot again. You may be healthy but that is a lot of randomness there. No need to risk it. Some years (like last year) the vaccine is not spot on and doesn’t prevent all the strains of that season. The flu vaccine is predictive and tries to determine what prevelant strains will exist in the next flu season. As you get older it becomes even more important as the flu can lead to all sorts of other complications.

Most of us here grew up in a post vaccine world. Even those of us who are a bit older as most of these vaccines were developed in the 50s and more so mid to late 60s. But that means lots of parents and all of our grand parents lived in a world where these diseases were active menaces.

This is a good paragraph stolen from Wikipedia on the measles vaccine:

Quote:
In 1991 in the Philadelphia region, thousands of children were sick with measles. The epicenter of this outbreak was traced to the Faith Tabernacle Congregation, a Faith Healing church that actively discouraged parishioners from vaccinating their children. A Court Order was obtained to forcibly treat and vaccinate children whose parents would not agree to seeking medical care. Nine children eventually died as a result of this outbreak.[68]

Lol

Israel being sanctioned to the dark ages for genocide and gross human rights abuses won't affect the 9% of oil America imports from Saudi Arabia, or the 6% from Iraq. But if it did, who cares?

Other than the stupid Christian conspiracies to being about the apocalypse, which a lot of the trump administration genuinely believe in, Israel provides no actual benefit to the west worthy of such blind support. They are a net loss in several ways, in fact.

We would never accept any other country acting in the same way.

I am comfortable with sanctioning every single product out of Saudi Arabia and Israel until MbS is executed hacked up with a bone saw and has his body disappeared from the planet and until Israel gives back the stolen settlement territories and starts down a path to peace with a two state solution sharing Jerusalem. Would be a good move to kick start the green new deal and would stabilise Venezuela too when oil prices rise. I see no downsides.

You start off by saying there would be no effect then talk about the effect. Your post also did not address my point. Which is.

We have been protecting Saudi oil for a longtime and Israel is a part of that. With or without the America Jewish lobbying that wont change.

"billionaire diamond trader dies during penis enlargement surgery"

how small does your penis have to be to make it so that just being a billionaire isn't enough...

One of my coworkers at the hospital didn’t let her son have the flu vaccine because she “didn’t believe in it” (she has to get one to stay employed), but then he got a real deal case of the flu and lo and behold now she’s a believer.

Also Hobbes would be a better source but an EKG would not show anything for hardened arteries unless you are currently experiencing or previously experienced ischemia (lack of blood flow ie a heart attack) to the heart. It’s typically used to identify rhythm and conductivity disorders outside of an acute situation; a stress test is used to identify blood flow issues to the heart, although there are several types of tests used and I’m not super knowledgeable about them.

You misread my two points. I said it wouldn't effect it, because it wouldn't. Israel being immune from international justice does not stabilise oil from Saudi Arabia and Iraq.

But also Israel and Saudi Arabia are morally pretty even and should be punished with international sanctions regardless of that single figure percent of oil imports in respect of America.

There was some Trebek talk in last month's LC thread so I figure this tweet should go here:

If you think we would stop being allies without the lobbying ok.

Is angry, hysterical ranting indicative of guilt? R Kelly had an interview with Gayle King where he followed the Trump/Kavanaugh/Mark Meadows playbook:

My first thought when seeing that was r Kelly learned from kavanaugh

Appeals Court appears likely to unseal potentially explosive records in Jeffrey Epstein case

Looks like the Dersh actually wants the records open so maybe he's not a pedo after all?

That’s what he wants you to think

Only one reason to go to Epstein Island

There exist no allegations that Dersh went to Epstein Island. Names of people flying on Epstein's plane tend to get conflated with the island. It was impossible for that plane to go directly to the island, as there is no airport there big enough to serve it. Dersh's accuser accuses him of having sex with her on the plane, which was also allegedly a common occurrence. Dersh categorically denies ever being on the plane with young women, which is a slightly risky thing to do as it could be disproven. I remain confident there's kompromat out there on Dersh as his behaviour is so inexplicable otherwise, but it's possible it isn't Epstein-related.

Not exactly true. Epstien's whole shtick was to rub elbows with powerful people, invite them to his parties and try to get into their social network. I suspect there are lots of people who partied with him on his island weren't there for the kiddie diddling. I'm skeptical of the theory that Clinton/Trump/etc must have been in his pedo ring just because they were photographed together at parties.

OTOH, Dersh's behavior has been so unhinged lately that it's hard to not think someone's got some kind of kompromat on his wrinkly old ass. Then again, he is pushing to get these case records released, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Edit: basically what ChrisV said.

Archaeologists working at a 15th-century site in Peru have unearthed the remains of 137 children and 200 llamas in what’s now considered the largest mass child sacrifice known from the New World—and possibly of all time.

The scene is almost impossible to comprehend.
Quote:
As to why children and juvenile llamas were sacrificed and not adults, Sugiyama said it likely had to do with their transitional nature.

“Children are liminal creatures and are some of the most precious members of a society,” she said. “The scale of both child and animal sacrifice carried out suggests urgency and desperation and perhaps a deliberate [choice] to offer only the two most valued members of their society—their children and the their staple food source.”

Pfft, it's just a huntsman. They're harmless. They don't spin webs, so you're never going to walk into one and cop it to the face or anything. They generally stay out of your way and don't bite. Nobody is scared of them except card-carrying arachnophobes. The common huntsman is the largest commonly-seen spider we get in Adelaide, that one is a big one but not remarkably so. If you don't like that I recommend not googling for the species they get up in north Queensland.
