I am on the second episode, which is about Payday Loans, which is really good. The first episode was about the Volkswagen diesel emissions scandal. If you enjoy stories about these sorts of frauds I think you will enjoy this show.
I went through the first five episodes, some stronger than others. I just started up the sixth and final episode of the season and it is about Donald J. Trump.

The episode is titled “The Confidence Man”

Housing is expensive in most of the rest of California too. The average home price in Los Angeles is $570k and that includes some not fancy areas. The average home price straight out of Compton is $380k. Average home price in the USA is $189k. Sure there's a lot of geographic area in California that's not expensive, but there's a lot of virtually empty desert. Even Stockton, STOCKTON, has an average home price of $274k.

We just talked about In-n-Out recently. I think I was arguing with PaulD about how it was a notably better place to work than most other fast food places. edit: I looked it up. It was, but it was more complicated and involved Chik-fil-A and the height of Presidential candidates.

Can we talk about word origins and the debasement of language here? It's not cuckolding if the dude is watching his wife having an affair. It's all supposed to be going on behind the guy's back like cuckoos do--it's right there in the name!

Tucker Carlson has one of the stupidest looking faces I've ever seen. His expression anytime he is listening to one of his guests is that of pure bewilderment.

The median house price in Sydney is now $A 904,000 ($US 733,000). Sydney has no suburbs with a median house price less than $A 500,000 ($US 405,000).

Saw a live taping of Lovett or leave it tonight. Highly recommend if they come to a city near you.

The joke, of course, is that Burger King is free to do everything shown in the video, they just don’t because it would destroy their business. Or maybe the joke is that they are trying to sell horrible burgers with political propaganda?

Well you have to get a tiny bit creative and imagine that Burger King and McDonalds are your only two sources of food in the city. And they're both throttling their burgers.

The interesting part of that video is somebody's washing machine was out of balance and beating itself up, and he videoed it instead of fixing it.

Amid all the talk of Trump and the Republicans consolidating power, you’d never know that:

There have been more than 8,700 protests in the US since Trump’s inauguration, involving six to nine million people, most of them opposing Trump. That’s two to three percent of the population. That’s a lot.

When that happens I'm always reminded of this old show.

To be an accurate comparison Burger King would have to be your only means of getting food where you live. Then it doesn’t really kill their business.

If there was legitimate competition in broadband it would not be an issue but that is not the case for most people so the ISPs can do whatever they want if the government steps aside.

PS

I kept it in politics because I didn’t wanna shove those posts into OOT and have some of our guys banned when the F OOTards started whining about politards.

Since it has nothing to do with anything, I could give a damn if anyone engages in personal attacks or whatever. If someone else wants to open that thread and mod it, have at it. My hands are clean.
