LDO Iowa, gogogogo Frothy.

Also I'm pretty sure my state having a caucus would be enough to dissuade me from voting. What the ****, christ. Just click a button and leave. Aren't these idiots all in church every night discussing this **** anyway.

Be Careful What You Wish For ...

MSNBC just replayed a one-on-one conversation/press conference between Newt Gingrich and Chris Matthews. The subject was Mitt Romney’s negative ads and the devastating effect those ads have had on Gingrich’s campaign. In response to Matthew’s questioning, Gingrich bemoaned “the mess” that the present system has become and how he [Gingrich] would like to change it. Matthews then pointed out that Newt Gingrich was one of the most vocal supporters of the Supreme Court “Citizens United” decision that unleashed all these issue advocacy PACs to spend unlimited money for whatever purpose they saw fit – including running negative ads. The irony of this could not have been lost on Newt Gingrich. Matthews pointed out that a month ago he had been polling in the 30 percent range – and then the ads started. “Those ads took you from 30 percent down to 13 percent. Those ads literally took you out of the race,” Chris Matthews observed as a disheartened Newt Gingrich helplessly looked on. Gingrich’s face was so flushed that you might have thought he was about to be sick to his stomach. It was a look of pure agony.

In a panel discussion with other MSNBC commentators reflecting on all this, Matthews observed that Newt Gingrich was among the most vocal supporters of the Citizens United Supreme Court decision. Now he is the first victim of that decision. What a delicious irony. (I’m sure Hillary Clinton is having a good laugh at Newt’s expense since it was a vicious attack against her that started the Citizens United case.)

I always love the idea of a candidate who's not president running against one who is president on the idea that we need experience in the White House. The dude is already the ****ing president, I'm pretty sure he has more experience than you as a new-age slave owner.

God Bachmann's mom. There is so much of this country that is just despicable retrograde nutbags.

Can people post their betting action so I know what candidates(s) to sweat for?

Lol romney life story on fox. Not biased at all.

Is it worth turning on cable news for this? I'm in the middle of a decent book/reading updates here. If the news is remotely entertaining I'll consider putting my book down.

C-Span has some riveting live coverage from an Urbandale Lutheran church.

It's, like, old white people. Milling around and stuff.

I didn't put a bet down, but for the trifecta I picked the following top three to finish in this order.

(1.) Rick Santorum - 22 or 23 percent of the vote.
(2.) Ron Paul - 21 or 22 percent of the vote.
(3.) Mitt Romney - 20 or 21 percent of the vote.

Book it is, I'll turn the tv on in an hour or so to find out whether or not Iowa is relevant to our political process.

Assuming they are there, what does occupying a caucus voting place have to do with the 1%?
