How do Hill and Barry feel about online gaming? How do Hill and Barry feel about online gaming?

01-19-2008 , 09:42 AM
Read an articles in the LA times yesterday that said Barack thinks gambling is bad for the poor and Hillary supports gambling as a source of business development. So there is a hint as to how they might feel, though online gaming is a bit different.

Has anybody found a legit source that states their opinions?

Here's the article

While apparently accurate, the article appears to be based on opposition research done by the Clinton campaign, so take it for what its worth. Toward the end, the article mentions that Obama thinks gambling in Las Vegas is fine and he just doesn't like it in Illinois.

I hope that Nevadans realize that being tough on gambling is actually great for Nevada. The precise reason Las Vegas is more than a dusty train depot is the relatively loose gambling laws in Nevada. If casinos were legalized everywhere, Las Vegas would lose a lot of business.

Iron,

Could you apply your argument to online poker? If we love online poker and want whats best for its future, which one of these candidates do we want?

imo it appears to be hillary. i love obama but she looks like the gaming choice and she'll obv choose him as VP so we should have him for 16 years instead of 8, better anyway.

There's no way she picks him as VP (and I doubt he'd take it), and he's already stated that he's not running again if he doesn't win this time around.

prop bet that if she wins he is the VP choice.

ppl say all sorts of things to try and get votes. when it comes down to it, all they really want is to get elected. they tell us what we want to hear. he makes her more electable. so he'll be the choice. done and done.

if you'd like to make a wager i'd be glad to take your money

Edwards said that he was not interested in the VP last time as well. Clinton/Obama makes alot of sense but may not happen if Clinton thinks she can win without him or if things get too heated in the primaries. Obama/Clinton will never happen since Hillary is about the worst person possible to have as a running mate.

Both will do little if anything to help out online poker. Both will likely raise your taxes if you are a successful player.

If online poker is your only issue then vote for Ron Paul, he voted against the bill to ban online poker.

I am voting for a democrat. Democrats will obv win the general election. If you want to make real change in this nation all you can do at this point is to try and get your horse into the white house

The president of the usa will either be a woman or black, period. Nobody else in this thing has a chance.

wtf with CNN today. 'mccain, clinton, romney claim victories' and they go on to say how hillary won nevada. and then this

"Although Clinton won the overall state vote, Obama took more delegates because of the areas where he won. CNN projects that Obama will pick up 13 delegates to Clinton's 12."

wtf?? so thats like the New York Times in 2000 calling Gore the winner and putting a foot note in now that our new pres is gw bush but gore won the popular vote'

what rigged ass reporting

The Clintons feel about online gaming the way they feel about everything else.

They'll look at the polls and decide how they should feel and support/disapprove as they see fit to maintain their political power.

Suppose Obama was God's Gift to internet gaming (even though its not true). What in the world could you do to get "your horse" into the White House? Vote? That makes no difference. Convince a bunch of people to vote for him? Still about as effective as sticking your thumb up your ass.

So you're saying they will do what the people want them to?

Nuts.

OK well neither of them give a **** about online poker so...

And there's very little chance of real change in this country. The only possible way isn't supporting Pepsi over coca cola or vice versa. All that will do is perpetuate the problem.

Wow, I'm really dumb with politics. I know Obama tossed his name in, but did he make a serious run at it 4 years ago? I remember there being so much talk about him being too young I don't think most took him seriously yet. It would be a shame if this is his last run.
