You can see them on Joy Reid's twitter feed, takes a minute to dig up though esp the second one

her video seems to show conclusively that that object (gun?) wasnt on the ground after they shot him. somebody definitely dropped it there after the fact, looks like it comes flying into the screen at like 2:13 or so

First I have heard that the victim had a brain injury.

It's a bit weird. It drops from somewhere, then I think it gets picked up, then another officer drops something. Then that gets picked up.

So, just come out and say it.

Spoiler:
the cops were planting evidence while being recorded by the victim's wife and who knows who else

They just had some pundit on MSNBC analyze the film frame by frame. Needless to say, he arrived nowhere near destination conspi******ville.

Is the planted evidence theory taking hold on social media? I googled a bit and came up blank.

What did he say? I mean I am currently driving towards conspiritardville but it's still a few miles away and I'm sure if I turned back I could reach Justice Town before dark.

No, though it's ubiquitous in this day and age. The presumption of impropriety by police in these publicized cases. Thought a post or two were hinting at that.

Choose your side in general, or engage in half-assed gumshoe speculation on the merits of each case lmao. It's funny

Have the police given any just reason why they haven't released their footage?

Looks to me like a cop took it off Scott lying on the ground and tossed it but the camera is shaky and a little far away.

Those who have seen the official police footage seem to think it is inconclusive as well. I just can't imagine why all the cops would be yelling drop the gun if he didn't have one. It would require the cops to mistake a book for a gun in broad daylight (possible I suppose), then plant evidence in broad daylight even though they knew they were being filmed. I'd say the odds are in favor of him having a gun given what we know and have seen so far at least.

To me it looks like gloves. But hard to tell.

I hope they release what they have soon but don't mind a delay to get all the witness statements before releasing the video. That seems like a valid reason for delay.

We have had numerous examples in this thread of the cops on video yelling **** like "Stop resisting!" to guys who are on the ground cuffed and still. We know the key phrases that appear in the reports of nearly every police shooting. We know cops will blatantly lie in their reports even when they are caught on video. It would be silly to take their word as gospel.

And we know eyewitness accounts are unreliable. Doesn't sound like the video will be conclusive in this instance. Doubt will linger.
09-23-2016 , 05:28 PM
Well, if they released the police's video we'd know for sure wouldn't we?

I don't think so. The cops and the family say it is not a conclusive picture. Not arguing that they shouldn't get the video out soon though they should.

What are we even arguing? Are you trying to argue the officer didn't think he had a gun? Whether he was holding anything or not, the officer probably still thought they saw a gun. I doubt this was a cold blooded execution. More likely tension was high, things were moving fast, and thr officer reacted To something they thought they saw and killed the man.

Adrenaline is a hell of a drug.

Assuming it's a gun, the officers could have picked it up after Scott dropped it and moved it farther away. I think getting a firearm out of the reach of a suspect (even one who is prob dead) is standard protocol.

The video the wife Released cuts off a bit to early for my taste. She has more so why didn't she release it? Every second should of been released by her. Something's fishy with this lady's video.

You'd think so,but Tulsa police let the suspect bleed out for a couple minutes before checking him out.

Why were the cops there in the first place? Did somebody call them? Was it a routine traffic stop?
09-23-2016 , 09:10 PM
They were serving a warrant to someone else AFAIK
