soon we are going to need a here we go again thread for murdered cops

Kind of surreal reading about the response to the Watts riots this morning and then hearing what people are saying now.

It'll turn into a bunch of liberal posters vaguely suggesting that the cops had it coming.

Pretty disgusting accusation from a disgusting poster.

That's where the "both sides do it" gets you.

Yep this is whats going to happen when you have the black matter types screaming that police are the oppressors and that they are going around killing blacks for "making eye contact" "wearing a hoodie" "riding a train" etc. Failing to provide any context at all, its equivalent to saying Dylan Roof is getting the death penalty for being white and going to church (which is an extreme comparison as Roof was worse than the people mentioned in the video obv but still). The celebs in this video should be ashamed of themselves. Say what you want about police, but to say Oscar Grant was killed for riding a train, or Greg Gun was killed for making eye contact is so ridiculous, and if true, would give people valid reasons to want to kill police. Which is why spewing that garbage when its false is repugnant and dangerous. And i am not even claiming that police are perfect, or that some areas in policing have a racist culture etc, but to frame the issue in such an exaggerated manner is disgusting.

Hyperbole for dramatic effect is different than urging cop-killings. The shooter in Dallas criticized BLM for basically NOT urging this. Historically, this is the pattern. It's not like some happy-go-lucky dude saw a BLM protest and had a eureka moment, then went on a shooting spree.

Also, your point would play a lot better if you hadn't posted white supremacist literature a matter of days ago.

I still facepalm when I think of my fellow liberals blowing up that dated picture of Trayvon Martin as a small child. Your point isn't some novel take unconsidered, but it's an entirely different realm than arguing The Inherent Inferiority Of The Negro.

Liberals are the good guys. Since when do good guys want cops to be killed?

Projection isn't just a river in Egypt.

Kedu, shut up.

Lmao at this, you understand that the outcome of a "hyperbole for dramatic effect" in the example is to hate cops more right? This isnt come random political point like saying increasing min wage to $15 will increase the American economy by 5 trillion, when in reality the real number is 1 trillion. Sure if want to exaggerate in that case, go right ahead, you will likely achieve more support for a positive cause with no real downsides. Having a bunch of celebs saying if you are black + make eye contact with police you could be killed! is completely insane, and like i said before, adds to the narrative that these cop killers use to justify their actions. I never said that that this video is urging blacks to kill cops and i never argued that blacks are are inherently inferior to whites, so you can strawman me all you want.

I am simply stating, and even echoing Obama in this respect, that you have to be careful with the language and tactics you use when criticizing cops bc if you pass a line, it gives individuals real justifications to kill cops . In other words tone + framing matters. On this point, I would bet my life that the Dallas shooter 100% agrees with the BLM narrative about cops, about how they are the oppressors, and that the police force is overtly racist, and that they go around killing unarmed black men bc they are black etc. His solution to this problem is obv different, but the way he got there wasnt.

Well, other than the time you posted data from a white supremacist/separatist purporting that blacks were inferior to whites. There was that.

Ahh ya i never said that, nor did the data. Also its fun when people try to change what i said . First, i said blacks are inherently inferior to whites, and now its only that they are inferior. Move your goal posts more please. Also the data said the blacks were more criminal than whites, which is still true even though the data was exaggerated, bc more credible sources come to the same, yet less overstated conclusion.

Oh OK. My sincere apologies for intimating that you said blacks were inherently inferior to whites when you only meant to say that blacks are inferior to whites and more criminal than whites. Boy the egg on my face.

lol at you. So you are saying that blacks and whites commit crimes at the same rate? Please show me that data. If you concede that the latter isnt true, than you are on my side. I am not making claims on the genetics or general abilities of the races, i am talking specifically about crime. Also i am not even talking about the reasons behind why they commit more crime, i am solely talking about outcomes. That is why i would never say/think blacks are inferior to whites.

I miss the good old days when overt white supremacists actually got banned.

I already gave a mea culpa and agreed that you were only arguing that blacks are inferior and more criminal than whites. What more do you want?!?!

Name calling is fun and all, but can you explain to me what i am getting wrong? If you concede that one race commits more crime, i dont see how you can view what i said to be controversial. Also this is all a distraction from my original post yesterday so i dont even know why this is being brought up again.

The Stormfront propaganda guys duct tape the pieces together much better. I mean, they're still trying to square the circle but you can see they're making an effort.

The "data" totally said that but I think that post was deleted.

That numbers check out at first until it makes a hard pivot to hyper-racism, that's how it works. I promise I'll explain if you're not banned when I wake up.

Hint: it's the part about if there were no black people there'd be x less % of y crime.

Basically, the question comes down to how you explain the racial disparity in crime rates. I don't believe anyone denies that the disparity exists. The question is: what do you think causes it? When you use words like "inferior" it seems to suggest that you believe one race is just inherently more prone to criminality. That is, it seems to suggest an inherently racist conclusion. I am not sure if that is what you mean.

I am prepared to provide you my attempt at an answer to the question of the causes of racial disparities in crime rates but I figure I'll allow you a chance to give your own explanation first.

Thank you for this response. I 100% agree with this post, outside of the fact that it is directed at me if that makes. What i mean is that i never used the word inferior to describe black people, other people infer that is what i meant when i talk about disparity in crime. I make this very clear and i echo most of your post in the bolded below. I hope this clarifies things.

Also i said this a few days back
