The CEO of this site claims his site is bug free. Can only be used by those who ask for no subsidy.

Pretty clear that his site isn't Humana, that site is buggier than healthcare.gov.

Or it was when I signed up

I found this interesting:

Of course you would.

Putting up prices a fraction of one percent to give staff good quality healthcare is awesome. Everyone should applaud this.
02-27-2014 , 04:53 PM
he paid 2.49 for 0.17 worth of iced tea

I mean, I don't expect conservatives to actually know anything about Health Care policy, what Obamacare does, etc., but you'd think by now they would have caught the news flash that there is no employer mandate in 2014.

I realize most of these business guys are probably just trolling their customers, but it really speaks to the stupidity of the base that there are a significant number of people who fall for it.

Yup. What a great endorsement for Obamacare.
02-27-2014 , 06:20 PM
Lol, wait, so there actually is no current cost to him for "Obamacare"? So he literally just decided to rinse his customers for a small profit bump?

Well, that is like the American dream I guess, but it is why I am glad that I wont ever have to worry about healthcare coverage unless I emigrate.

Shocker riverman, sometimes people actually plan ahead for laws that will come into effect. Get a clue dude.
02-27-2014 , 06:43 PM
Hahahaha, yeah I'm sure the angry dude putting "ACA surcharge" on people's receipts is just a business genius planning ahead.
02-27-2014 , 08:06 PM
lol @ that receipt. and lol @DKay for actually not only falling for it, but fist-pumping about it

Yeah, dude, get a clue. Like ikes. Ikes has so many clues. Ikes knows that sometimes like 10 and a half months ahead of time you need to start charging a arbitrary nonsense surcharge, because business. That's just how it works.

ikes any thoughts on how your side is full of such callous and uneducated bumpkins they kinda gave away the whole game? 20 cents a meal for universal health care sounds like an AMAZING deal. Jesus Christ it is a moral outrage that we let people die uninsured before last month to save a dime per chili cheese dog.

P.S. ikes do you think it is a brutal run of bad luck that you're almost certainly the only anti-ACA reg ITT with a college degree?

The receipt **** is obviously trolling, but many companies have already made changes to comply with the mandate that isn't in effect yet.

Despite your many assertions to the contrary, you're not even close to my level on this subject fly.

It really isn't a subsidy to low income individuals. They will have a large deductible. Few will see insurance companies pay any part of their bills. It is a subsidy to the health insurance industry.

There are subsidies for out-of-pocket costs as well, including deductibles and coinsurance payments.

Unless they break a bone, have a heart attack, need surgery...

Yes, for low-cost items, people will pay a lot out of pocket. But they're unlikely to get broke for a sudden health emergency, which is the main point of high-deductible plans. I've had to pay out of pocket for most of my expenses the last few years, but it was worth the peace of mind to pay $90/month in case I got in some kind of freak car accident.

We might need to have a Part 234, because you can't even make this **** up. We always have to be on guard for self-serving explanations, telling ourselves fairy tales... but sometimes it really is true that some people are just reprehensible pieces of ****. There's no need to pretend we're dealing with principled opposition. It's negs, and Dkay, and ikes, and this ^^^^^^^^^^ ****ing guy.

But he's actually just trolling? He's adding 20c on the meal because he's smart and planning ahead, but he's actually just trying to be obnoxious. That's not mature. The guy's just a hater.
