If the shooter is an undocumented immigrant, Arizona might explode.

Yeah, I didn't know who Giffords was when I posted. Reading more on her now.

No way a Dem was shot by an illegal when there are so many better targets in the state for "that reason".

Pretty crazy how people are already condemning pretty much anyone with there being zero confirmed info so far

Gun rights
Giffords has discussed her gun ownership and support for gun rights [14] opposing the DC gun ban and signing an Amicus curiae brief with the US Supreme Court to support overturing it. [14][15] She has a D+ rating from the NRA[16] and a D- from the GOA.[17] She was subsequently shot in the head.</ref>

well played wikipedia.

It's probably not related, and possibly not politically motivated, but this is the third (?) attack against employees of the government in as many days, isn't it? A few days ago two mail-bombs were sent somewhere in Maryland, yesterday one was sent to Napolitano, and today this.

Jesus christ at that wording.

She was seemingly on the side of the AZ immigration laws, but she was a major target for the tea party and barely held her seat apparently.

I dont want to jump to conclusions, but if you are i agree its not hard to work out a direction to jump in.

They caught the guy, so this wont be a mystery so jumping to conclusions seems kinda silly. Its just gonna take more than half an hour to work out the exact details.

Seems to be a good website for getting updates right now, if anyone knows better im happy to hear about it tho.

Early reports are she was shot in the head, someone approximated 15-20 shots, 5 people hit and perhaps two killed.

It would be pretty sick if this was some kind of Mexican-cartel related violence

Fox News is going pretty far out of their way to make her sound very moderate
01-08-2011 , 03:10 PM
Well, now they are saying she's dead

She's a member of the Blue Dog Coalition. So, wouldn't 'moderate' be a reasonable description?
