FY2013 Deficit 9 Billion FY2013 Deficit 9 Billion

Although not released yet this is what I calculated it at. Now the big question is who is going to get credit for it? In the long run it will probably be the president, as Clinton got the credit from 1995-2000. For corporations and governments the fiscal year doe not necessary match the actual calendar year. We are now in FY2014 starting October 1st.

Now Obama did slow the growth of government wages and he stopped raises in social security for 3 years. He also increased taxes, or let the Bush tax cuts expire for the rich. But he also has a spending habit. The basic solution was to allow the housing market to fully drop. The economy automatically rebounded once the housing market hit bottom, and with it revenues increased.

The problem is balancing the budget may not stop inflation. The Fed now buys both treasuries and mortgages. The $40 billion in mortgages a month is about $500 billion a year.

So the question I ask do any democrats think the tea party is responsible for the smaller deficit?

Do any republicans think Obama is responsible for the smaller deficit?

Who is responsible for the smaller deficit? Who will get credit for the smaller deficit?

Does anyone really care about the deficit?

It seems all the Obama deficit talk has really died down in the last 1/2 year. Anyone else notice this?
