Had a pretty intense snowstorm for about an hour earlier this evening in East London. Looked like it might be really heavy and settle for a while. Thankfully it passed and any snow that settled melted away. Thank God for that, really heavy snow would have sucked.

what could go wrong

tom helped me dig my car out at the bottom of my drive way. I thought that it had been badly ****ed up by the plow at first. When coming home yesterday after work, snowmageddon 2.0 was already well underway, and my rear wheel drive car could not get up the driveway (lol I couldn't get it up yuk yuk yuk) and slid back down to the bottom. It looked like it was sufficiently far from the street behind the snow bank, so I left it. Turned out not so much. The plow just kept packing it in, more and more, until it crushed in my rear bumper. Once we cleared it out, though, it appears to have popped right back out. Won't be able to really tell until I can see it in the light with the snow and ice cleaned off, but it looks ok.

I can only imagine the boondoggle if you tried to get this paid for.

Speaking of xbox, my xbox360 challenge is now complete and I'll be joining you guys on my own xboxlive acct over the weekend, barring unforeseen occurrences. Starting off I'm just getting the system and MW2, but I'm interested to know what other games are good. (Online games in particular, I don't like defeating games you're supposed to be able to defeat unless it's epicly good.) In particular the sports games, although I'm sure this is the wrong crew to be asking about sports

I don't have anything as of yet, but that's what I'm going to pick up along with the system. Once I have it set up, I'll d/l the BC demo onto my system. it's on the roommate's xbox right now. I played a couple games but the map is huge and I got lost and didn't see people for minutes on end.

only sports game i like is fifa 10.. but i can't play it online

madden 10 is stupid. ncaa 10 is stupid. nhl 10 is stupid. nba2k10 is stupid. not sure what other sports games there are.

also the best 4 player drunk party game is burger king big bumpin'

Yeah basketball games are always bad, because you can't re-create the flow of a basketball game with jerky movements and animations. Madden has been so solid, but it seemed like this year it went after the ADD wii players with all the mini games. Still if there were easy to join online leagues.......Obv not going to play hockey or soccer, because I'm a ****ing American and not a Euro socialist piece of dog ****. Playing baseball on Xbox seems terrible when you can play on Wii and actually have your skill matter.

madden is bad because the online games suck. everyone is a crazy ass pro. you play people and they will audible and get a first down on every play. then they audible on defense and instantly be at your quarterback. i seriously played a kid that would move the entire defensive line whenever i snapped the ball and there would be 3 players on my quarterback. it was ******ed.

then i play with friends offline and the game is still ******ed. a kickoff is returned the distance half the time.

i don't know, most sports games are crap to me because you rely on cheese plays and it's nothing like real life.

the best sports games are NBA jam, blitz, the bigs type games imo.

Yeah Bigs for Wii was one of the greatest baseball games ever. SOOOOOOOO disappointed with the sequel.

MW2 discussion reminded me of my Xbox woes. It would appear that the earphones on my headset have died. Also when I was invited last night by various different politards I was having a lot of trouble connecting. Weird stuff. I have downloaded BF2 demo but havent played it yet.
