Is that why you've been posting here? lol

I thought you were relegated to the OOT contingent thread along with LK? Perhaps I was mistaken.

DIB was uncontained. I don't think LK was.

I was, then I was released on good behavior a few months back and haven't participated in anything even remotely controversial since that point.

But hey, please do continue gleefully referring to what happened to me in Florence. It seems you find slut-shaming and rape apologetics to be just as fun as MRAs do! So long as the bitch be lying many a laugh can be had at their expense, amirite?

did bitterman just call himself a slut?

LOL, nice move glossing over that the first time around. You're on a short leash in OOT, you're recently banned from PU... I'm sure you're just now setting up shop Politics Alpha because of a coincidentally-timed, newly-found interest in the election.

You keep doing whatever keeps the attention focused on you, man.

The idea that people are banned from PU is ... wut?

Especially since Alpha exiles some people to PU. So are the mods making trades?
05-31-2016 , 03:01 AM
Isn't DIB banned from some alpha threads?
05-31-2016 , 04:13 AM
I felt the need to respond to Trolly's LOL bull**** but - believe it or not - have no interest in derailing the thread. This will be my last post on the subject unless you all are hell bent on continuing.

I still have hope of a Castro run. Very life imitating art imitating life. Warren should explore a run imo even if its just to make the race feel like it matters as they debate policies.

While it feels like this is all over before it even begins Hillary should be the default fallback choice, not the only choice.

Looks like Mills lawyered up big at her deposition. Maybe they should have given her immunity like Pagliano.

Hopefully Pagliano gave the FBI the goods they need to get their investigation sufficient to bring down the hammer.

Yep, this was the most important part of the deposition:

The server preexisted Secretary Clinton's arrival at the State Department. President Clinton had established a server for the purposes of his own staff office, and -- and her -- her e-mail was subsequently put on that. That was not information I had contemporaneous knowledge of. It is information that I've come to learn over the course of my time period since then
This makes Guccifer's claim that he hacked the Clinton server very credible.

He plead guilty to US charges on May 25. But sentence won't be known until September. I would assume there was some kind of plea deal but we won't find out for sure until sentencing. Although there may be enough server log evidence to reasonably conclude he got to the server. (which I'm guessing is probably more corroborative than conclusive)

Krugman: http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/201...ad-narratives/

"Every time we have a presidential election, I (and many others) find ourselves marveling at the way much of the news media settles on a narrative, and holds to that narrative no matter how much evidence accumulates that it’s wrong. In this campaign so far, the settled narrative is (1) American public full of rage at established figures (2) Hillary in trouble. Initially, actually, this was “public fed up with Bush and Clinton dynasties”, but had to be modified once it turned out that younger, fresher GOP establishment faces were equally hapless.

But what if none of this is true?

If Americans in general are full of rage, why does President Obama have a better approval rating than Ronald Reagan at this stage? This is actually amazing given the “negative partisanship” that ensures that Republicans will never express approval for a Democratic president.

As for Clinton, if you read the papers or, worse yet, watch cable, you’ve seen her doomed at least three times — last fall, before the Benghazi hearings, after the NH primary, and during the Sanders string of caucus victories before the New York primary. Strange to say, however, she’s about to win the nomination — and if the demographics-based projections are right, which they have consistently been, she’ll end up with about four times the delegate lead Obama had in 2008 and with a 4 million popular vote lead (as compared with the 2008 tie)."

Political popularity comparisons are worthless as politicians across the board are disliked by significant margins compared to many decades ago.

People want to act like this is hatred or dislike for individuals when instead it is a lowering of the tides lowering all ships. In context of 2016 Obama is actually in a pretty good position as a president about to end a second term. For better and worse the Internet has had a massive impact on how politicians are perceived by the majority of citizens.

The reality is 40 years a large chunk of what gets reported as scandal would have never made it past the press guardians. Even the more salacious stuff was not deemed worthy. But now with 50000% more outlets any and everything is fodder.

Well CNN is cable so there goes that argument.
