Not really sure the "One Hitter Quitter" was the best approach here, but LOL at the article describing her as a "belligerent, but non-violent, woman", when it appears to me the only thing stopping her from attacking him is the partner holding her back.

Since I had superior numbers, I would've wrestled her down. Punching someone in the face is LDO******ed anyway. Goes back to the "Soft to hard, hard to soft, never hard to hard" approach to fighting. You forearm someone in the head not punch.

self defense.

Wow, that was bad.

I guess the woman was mildly ******ed, but she seemed competent enough to understand what she was doing. The officer is way.

But she was fat, so kind of soft all over.

That should be the real story here.

I hear ya man. If you're gonna punch a fat bitch on a bus, you better do it hard enough to make everyone on the bus gasp in shock & awe, and leave a crisp snap sound on the vid, AMIRITE?

ETA: Link to Lirva "assault"?

I saw this earlier on democracynow (i think?). They were saying the woman was ******ed lol.
01-13-2012 , 09:46 PM
She was probably legally ******ed, but as you can see in the video, she was not severely ******ed.

1% Cops : "nothing to see here go about your business"

99% People : "%^&*!@# unrestrained degen cops !"

Just my theoretical algorithim. My sample size is very small but Doublebarrel always falling in the "nothing to see here" 78.4% of the time is about average for my equation. And even while I hate his nothing to see here attitude I do admire his 21.6 % of the time where he actually admits cops were wrong but I will admit the only time that happens is when women and children are involved and more than 361 rounds or more have been fired.

Why is this thread worthy in politics? So we can have a discussion between libertarians / anarchists / and bleeding hearts?

1st video wasn't police brutality.
01-14-2012 , 01:39 PM
lol wat? all she did was say something to that ****ty cop and he punched her in the face.

Haha some truth here. I mean, this situation sucks for the officers but I didn't see a level of aggression that justified a hard punch to the face (such as a hard punch to the face).

I think it's telling that you chose a spot where there really is "nothing to see here" to attempt to make this point.

Cop 1/2 ass punches a woman that had a good 50lbs on him, as she appeared to be lunging toward him.

As I stated (which you failed to acknowledge) punching her was probably not the best decision. However, with her "bucking" or lunging at him, added in with her screaming and general resistance, I can't fault him for it.

Please stop behaving as though this woman was severely mentally handicapped, somehow physically impaired or was unaware of what she was doing or was somehow injured by this incident.

When I saw the title of the article, I thought "great, a video of some roid raging cop punching some paraplegic out of her wheelchair". What I got was a cop using a rather light punch to the cranium on a target bigger than him that is resisting him and his partner both physically and verbally. So yea, "nothing to see here" about covers it on this one.

If you saw a "hard punch to the face" in that video I would STRONGLY suggest it may be in your best interest to stay out of bad neighborhoods, rough bars and boxing rings.

J you're always SO defensive of cops.
01-14-2012 , 02:22 PM
Generally I am moreso than others, I'll admit that, but the people itt who are saying the cop was over the line would still be saying the cop was over the line if she'd pulled away, punched him in the face, then he'd punched her.

When a situation is inexcusable, I say so. This is far from inexcusable. He may not have handled this in the most PC way, but the amount of force he used was justified by the situation.

BTW, I just realized this a perfect example for all you people who bitch about tasers and say cops can handle situations "hands on". Well you saw hands on, and that's apparently not good either lol.

the situation being her standing there talking back to him right dbl?
