Who gets the real ID chips implanted under their skin first? Which country and under what pretext do they get their first volunteers/victims/people they are 'helping'?

There's a lot of reasons not to get anything like this; the potential for eternal damnation is just one of them.

Uh, yes. I know lots of non-"jesus freaks" who think this. It's not that hard to find them.

The problem is that the next one is going to be under your skin

I'll be on record and note that I've never met anyone openly worry about being implanted with RFID chips...so *I* think they're hard to find. But perhaps we run in different crowds.

ugh... wake up man.... no one is going to have to be forced because the mass majority of people are going to want to have the chip because of its toted benefits such as an aid in the supposed war on terrorism.

The people who don't want the chips implanted will be so out numbered that they won't be able to function in society without them... many will give in... some will go underground.

I'm not, but I don't see why this is an unreasonable thought. People are already talking about putting GPS chips in the skin of thier children just in case they get lost or something.

here is an article that was published in the Toronto Star about a year ago that makes the same points that Mop made.

http://www.thestar.com/printArticle/136744

*edit- basically its all about incrementalism- taking small steps that are accepted by the public gradually rather than big ones that are rejected, even if the end is the same in both.

They are chips. I have heard that if the back cover of the passport is smashed with a hammer the chip stops functioning.

This would be a great idea, if, you were also given a phone number you could call when you were lost.
