Going to a Bernie rally this week and I was selected as part of a group who will get to go backstage and talk with him for a few minutes in person. Only a handful of us, maybe like 5-7 people. Seems like a cool opportunity, even though I'm not really in the feelthebern camp necessarily.

Nice. I don't expect meeting Bernie has the same impact as one of the super-charisma guys like Obama, Bill Clinton, Reagan, but trip report it for sure.

Just saw a video of the protesters at clooneys. They were throwing a ton of money at Hillary's motorcade as it arrived. Pretty funny troll

Heh yeah, think it was Howard Gold (family founded .99 store) who provided the money. He also hosted a $27 party at his house.

Hillary officially won, but they I believe they split pledged delegates.

Finished the weekend with 425 calls. 400 to NY and 25 to Oregon. Was quite mentally exhausting for me, but the enthusiastic Bernie people I reached or the undecideds I got leaning or thinking about Bernie made it worth it. Hoping to maybe make a bit more calls tomorrow.

Hillary won 36 delegates to 35.

Who cares whether 538 had it right or not?

The point of imjosh's post was 194.

Ahh, yep, looks like you're right. Looks like 538 is the most accurate then.

The author got 194, by adjusting from 538's numbers. Which makes no sense if 538 is correct. Which they are. And the number is 206.
04-17-2016 , 10:09 PM
Yeah I think the article was counting a six delegate swing (plus 3 for Bernie minus 3 for hillary) as plus six for Bernie and minus six for Hillary. Or they were adjusting from 538s correct numbers. So the correct gap is closer to what 538 is reporting

Ok. Slightly less good. Still picked up 14 delegates in the last couple weeks I guess. And maybe more to come. Like from Wyoming?

My god, 3 million calls were made this weekend to NY. The campaign made a ridiculous goal of 2 million that they thought was a large chance we would fall short of. And we beat the target by a million calls.

that's whatsup!! making calls today for Bernie is the first time Ive ever volunteered for a political campaign and also made my first ever political donation today to Bernie (only a few dollars but hey it counts) and couldn't be happier with how I spent that time and money.

First post-debate NY poll dropped, Clinton +15 with 4.6% MOE. Previous iteration on 4/6-4/7 was Clinton +18. Race continues to be super stable

I barely know anyone under 40 who still has a landline, much less who would take a robocall survey. Granted, they seem to have changed their methodology a lot recently (and constantly have to since they are calling only landlines in 2016 which is a joke). But has Emerson ever NOT under-polled Bernie? We've established at this point that the only way Bernie can win NY is if youth turnout is absurd, and absurdly in his favor. Emerson poll tells us nothing new.

And it was all before the three million calls. A little youth underpolling, a little higher youth turnout.....

Remember when he polled down 48pts in NY?

Whisper a dream.....

Nothing strange about these being back-to-back?

No. Cellphone calls are started early in the day for the phonebanking systems on the weekends. And they obviously aren't robocalls either. On the week days I don't think they start calling cellphones until after 4pm est, due to reaching a lot of people at work.
