So T50, do you just travel around the world all awesome like for ****s and grins, or what exactly?

Was watching TV yesterday morning. All of a sudden huge buzzing sound comes from the TV like someone put a chainsaw in there. I turn it off, and it stops a bit after the TV goes dark. I look inside after taking out the lamp and the color wheel looks like it has broken glass in the compartment.

Spend 90 minutes taking the TV apart, piece by piece until I finally get to where it's at. Color wheel shattered 1/6th of it off. Order new part with pieces of the TV all over. I disconnected so many wires and took out so many screws, it's a real gamble that I'll be able to put it all back together again. I really should have videotaped myself doing it.

Pretty much. Don't really have any objectives in mind besides enjoying life.

But now I'm back in the 40hr grind.

Man, this job market sucks. The only professional job I have gotten interviews for was a financial advisor position at Metlife which don't get me wrong is a good company but I don't want to become a stock broker/insurance salesman. I don't want to call people over the phone to try to sell them stuff. From the little research I did, it didn't sound that good anyway.

Now I'm just looking for any job to try to make a little money and maybe build a bankroll. There's a card room 20 mins from here so hopefully I can make a little money on the side once I do.

I'm looking into becoming an actuary but math isn't my strong suit. It does really seem up my alley though dealing with probabilities/uncertain events and in the process of getting my economics degree, I think I have a lot of the educational stuff covered. Anyone got any advice on this?

anecdotally related: The company I work for had an appointment clerk position open up and had 2 engineers, 3 lawyers, and one doctor apply along with several MBA graduates.

Got my color wheel for my TV today, installed it, tried to remember where all the wires went. I think I found it all, except there is one port that I can't find a wire to. Don't remember if it had anything in it or not. Got it all back together and the damn thing won't start up. Flashes 3 lights at me. Think I figure it out having one wire backwards. Try again. Makes a few more noises this time, and still doesn't work. DAMN THING

Going to take a break and maybe in a moment of clarity I'll be able to figure it out.

Or maybe don't take apart your tv?

TV was broke - color wheel was shattered and I could see that was the problem. Worst case I have someone fix it now, which is the same as if I didn't fix it.

lol. Nice location.

Should you ever post in a forum I mod and commit an indiscretion, you've got yourself a "get out of warning/infraction/one day of your ban" card. Not that I think you will, but I like this.
