Actually, it was because Wookie and I had exactly 45 minutes on a Friday night at 11:00 PM on Easter and Passover weekend to moderate the post before the forum was shut down. As has been stated repeatedly, and as Mat has conceded he believes, if either Wookie or I had gotten to that post in that 45 minutes the post would have been deleted and the poster would have eaten a temp ban, but whatever.

This one time I went on vacation and while I was out of the country some folks made some horrible posts in a forum I modded, and the posts didn't get dealt with appropriately. I found out about it like the day I was flying back and I couldn't deal with it, and then when I got home the forum was closed, to much rejoicing, generally. And probably for the best, I'd guess.

But I'm still sympathetic because of it :P

I think it's generally considered preferable to be the dunker than the dunkee, but I learned from clovis that kink-shaming is wrong, so I try to avoid it.
