This is going to get really ugly. Conservative Twitter/Facebook is already going hard in the paint on Allred and the new accuser. Moore's wife is on Facebook promising a lawsuit.

If he doesn't drop out after another accuser comes forward, it's going to be a crazy month.

Imagine being married to a guy that bangs high school girls. Nice self esteem there!

Makes you wonder what age girls he was dating when he was 22.

You know that old Alabama saying, if there's diapers on the playing field...

Or

Roy Moore likes them so young, he only ****s pregnant women. Not because he likes pregnant women...

here's how they are going to **** us:

Moore wins, he gets immediately expelled. New special election, gg.

Spoiler:
Dems should obv vote no to expel
11-13-2017 , 04:38 PM
If Moore wins, it’s better to expel him than become the party that voted to seat a pedo

Errr, if Moore wins, that will be the case whether they expel him or not.

Perhaps you missed his spoiler

Earlier NYT story updated with info about the new accuser

Quote:
The new accuser, Beverly Young Nelson, told a news conference in New York that Mr. Moore attacked her when she was 16 and he was a prosecutor in Etowah County, Ala. Ms. Nelson was represented at the news conference by Gloria Allred, a lawyer who has championed victims of sexual harassment.

“I tried fighting him off, while yelling at him to stop, but instead of stopping, he began squeezing my neck attempting to force my head onto his crotch,” Ms. Nelson said in a statement she issued at the news conference. She said Mr. Moore warned her that “no one will believe you” if she told anyone about the encounter in his car.

1. Withdraw Moore by sending official notice immediately before the election (i.e., as close to the election as allowed).

2. Don't tell anyone else including Moore (it will probably leak, but the idea is to keep it as quiet as possible).

3. Still campaign hard for Moore right up until the election

4. When Moore wins, election is declared void since Moore was officially withdrawn

5. Have new election with Strange or some other deplorable non-pedophile as GOP nominee.

6. New GOP nominee wins senate seat in the repeat election.

7. Alabama GOP spins the whole thing by saying, "Well we campaigned hard for Moore because we didn't believe the allegations, but as the election approached, we realized there was substance to the allegations and we had to withdraw him". End result is that Alabama GOP can appear anti-pedophile and they still get an R senator.
what you may be missing is that the governor only has these broad powers for special elections. It's not like they're able to do this any time they want.

No predictions on if Roy would possibly run 3rd party if Repubs pulled support?

grunching, my guess is mcconnell has already gotten his ducks in a row here, you don't go and deny a supreme court nomination to obama and then just roll over on this **** and let the democrats "steal" a seat. My guess is that the governor has already decided to reschedule or he knows moore is sticking around no matter what and they'll just refuse to seat him.

@pvn: The latter would be a massive gamble, as the GOP is now telling people we will nullify the election if you elect Moore. Has to give Doug Jones the edge on depressed turnout.
11-13-2017 , 04:58 PM
Another person came forward today. Moore signed her yearbook.

If I understand correctly, they're saying they along with the Democrats would expel him which they can do with a super majority (?) in the Senate. They could do it even if he ran as a member of the Confederate party or w/e. That wouldn't change anything, I believe.
11-13-2017 , 05:06 PM
Yeah, party affiliation wouldn’t matter for expulsion
11-13-2017 , 05:10 PM
I mean in the re-election that would obviously happen, or would he not be allowed to run 3rd party if he is expelled?

LOL

“To a sweeter more beautiful girl I could not say Merry Christmas. Christmas 1977. Love, Roy Moore, D.A. 12-22-77 Olde Hickory House.”

He's got some 'splaining to do.
11-13-2017 , 05:19 PM
Yeah he would obviously just run again in any delayed election or being expelled from the senate scenario. He got expelled from the bench twice ffs

That is interesting. I'm not sure. I would guess if you are expelled, the rules would prevent you from ever taking a seat. But in any case, it would just be embarrassing for Moore if he ran again on a third party ticket, because he would lose really badly.

If they tried to disqualify him two weeks ago on account of his outrageous bigotry e.g. his un-Constitutional views on Muslim-Americans, this would be a totally different ballgame. Alabama Republicans would vote for the most racist candidate, and Moore could win third party. But they're not gonna have loyalty to a kiddie fiddler when they can just vote in a replacement level racist Republican.

Didn’t see the presser, did the victim actually have the yearbook there?

Lol @ this. "McConnell and the Swamp hates me. They won't even seat me. Roy Moore for Senate" probably beats the GOP nominee in a 3 way race.
