I'm gonna try to ride out the storm through the Deplorable Ascendancy now upon us. Rode through Bush's 2nd term, the ACist revolution. Ikes. Gonna be a long 4 years but I think I have it in me.

Enough from our two plus two experts! You were all wrong and been wrong this whole time! Me and many others had our fears belittled for a long time on this forum

On to your idea...

There is a reason HIV laced needles would not sell, no matter how many times you run an ad for them on TV.
BAD GUESS: Your post
FACT: I'm banned everywhere but here. I mean, I've had temp-bans and 4 infractions thus far but no ban yet. Actual join date is what it states here, I'm not a resurgence of a former poster, and fwiw, I've been told 2+2 is smarter than that and monitors IP addresses when banning.

RE: your post mostly about hiv laced needles (a ridiculous obsession with HIV or AIDS will mean you'll fit in REALLY well here. The countdown clock has already started for when the first ****tard will ask us to "stop AIDsing up the thread" as if such comments should EVER be allowed.)

Needle use with heroin leads to overdoses. EVERYONE stops taking heroin.
Yep. Checks out.

Tell me more.

However if UBB adds a "Report to Trump" action along with the "Report to Mods" thing for posts, I might just skedaddle.

IMO the media have no business trying to sway an election and when do it's patently obvious and it must be extremely grating to the average American.
You have a better grasp on how things work here than 99% of those who live here, probably 25-35% (at most) turned out to vote. (I say that knowing full well that it was apparently record voter turnout)

overturning is going to be a longshot but you're about to see some stupidly restrictive laws enacted that make it basically impossible for lots of impoverished women.

Yep. That's how it works here.

Excellent research, Yankophile Brit bitch.

It seems like the worst case scenario is its a state by state responsibility.

They don't have a filibuster proof majority in the senate.

um, turn "longshot" into "not actually possible" and your start would be accurate.

The rest suggests you have no idea about the current state of Abortion in most of America today.

I'm not multi-quoting

to the last 3 posters, please tell me you're not that stupid. Take a ****ing civics class, ffs.

Worse case now is almost certainly a 6-3 or 7-2 court decision which outright bans the practice. This would obviously be down the line after Trump picks multiple justices. We're going to get multiple Robert Bork types. There will be no moderates.

Once the Committee reports out the nomination, the whole Senate considers it. A simple majority vote is required to confirm or to reject a nominee, but a successful filibuster threat could add the requirement of a supermajority of 60 needed in favor of cloture, which would allow debate to end and force a final vote on confirmation. Rejections are relatively uncommon; the Senate has explicitly rejected twelve Supreme Court nominees in its history. The most recent rejection of a nominee by vote of the full Senate came in 1987, when the Senate refused to confirm Robert Bork.

Serious question.....what comes after Trump? No chance them ****ing crackpots (repubs) moderate themselves going forward imo.

Expecting the 4th Reich in next decade.
11-09-2016 , 09:28 AM
would be most amusing if the dems keep the supreme court at 8 after the repubs threatened it if clinton won
