Nope. Wrong.

One was chock-full of Wall St. money FOR YEARS and the other shunned it on his way to a win.

So you may be right on what happens FROM here, but you're off on why it is currently down.

So I talked to my best friend from HS and he calmed me down a bit. He used to be in politics and he knows how the game works. He said Trump winning can basically be a net positive for the US but that we will suffer in the short term.

First, he said Trump is so volatile that there is a decent chance he is impeached.

Second, he said Clinton is so unpopular, she had no shot at winning in 2020. She was always going to be a one term president no matter what happened.

He's concerned about the SCOTUS but said because of Trump, the Dems have a very good chance in both 2018 and 2020 if the Trump Train is as crazy as it makes it out to be.

He also said he's shocked Trump did as well as he did and to take what he says as a grain of salt. So...

You obviously haven't been paying attention. His greatest strength is that he hasn't failed at accomplishing things in his political career because he hasn't had one.

She'll be 71 years old in 2020. And, I don't think she's really a proven candidate despite her popularity among progressives.

A basic reality is that if the economy is good in 2020 and there isn't a foreign policy disaster, then whoever gets elected tonight is highly likely to be reelected in four years.

I think she's terrible. I can't stand her show. I just think she makes a wonderful strawman for the right to beat up on - that's my whole point.

Remember how sad it was when Arnie Vinick didn't realize it was over. Wanted to take adjunct teaching positions in pennsylvania, michigan, etc. and his team had to tell him its over and he won't get to try again.

yea, imagine having that conversation with hillary.

Your friend needs to begin to understand how Senate elections work. The map is utterly brutal for Democrats in '18.

All of the other models were way further off, and Nate was nerdsplaining the possibility of the exact type of polling error that happened.

There has to be a decent % chance he gets impeached before/on day 1 of his Presidency. Only take a couple of court cases to prove so.
