A little late to get this thread started as the US Open starts tomorrow, but wanted to get a discussion going to see if there is enough interest to get a weekly golf betting thread going. I've played PGA DFS since the beginning with success. My golf betting has been limited due to my location but when I've lived in Vegas I would say my success has been limited with my near misses being more memorable (Rose losing in a playoff, CT Pan yanking one off a cart path on the 72nd hole to go out of bounds to lose to Snedekar, Oosthuizens British OPen collapse on the final day in 2021. You get the idea. However, I did hit Koepka at 20-1 1.5u at this years PGA Championship.
This week the US Open plays at LA CC North Course designed by George Thomas, the same guy who designed Riviera where they have a tour stop each year. I watched a flyover of each hole, and there are definitely some similarities to Riviera. It's 7400 yards, par 70, so it's a beast.
I made these bets a few days ago and I probably have too much Bryson, but I think he's severely mispriced across the board compared to his recent performance. A unit will equal $20. Yes, I'm a low roller, but as anyone who golf bets knows, you can go months without picking a winner. So it's all about bankroll management for the entire golf year.
To win:
Hovland 18-1 1.5u
Hatton 35-1 1u
Rose 40-1 1u
Bryson 50-1 .75u
Various bets:
Hatton Top 20 +150 .75u
Bryson Top 20 +220 .5u
Bryson def Reed +100 .5u
Rose def Day -110 1.25u
Koepka def Rory +115 1u
Group Bets
Bryson def Woodland/Reed/Nieman +275 1.25u
