I think a good way to win a sports betting would be to build some sort of program that analyzes data and gives a teams winning percentage based on a number of factors. However, I was thinking that someone else has probably arleady done this.

Sure enough when I used google, some links showed up. But then I'm also thinking to myself, "who would possibly be stupid enough to give this sort of thing away to the public if it actually worked."

I've been toying with the idea of building my own program, but I don't want to waste my time if somebody else has already done it and is distributing it.

I've been looking into this as well, and the softwares I've even looking at simply give you a **** load of data and user friendly ways to retrieve it, then you have to build your own models, for example which factors to take into consideration.

Much like yourself I've been looking into building some software myself, but found it way too complicated, and getting old data is not the easiest either.

My answer is: if you think you can build profitable models and will win more than the subscription fee as a result of it, then go for it. It doesn't hurt to try it out either way I guess.

Recently at russian gamling forums we had couple of huge marathons of a guy betting live soccer with a bot. Starting from $300k and $500k both times he ended up in profit. Well, and as far as I know he dissmissed any offers about selling the bot into public, saying that it can only be sold together with himself, because during the betting it still needs some adjustments.

So building a profitable model - yes, it's possible. Buying it from anyone - probably not a good idea, if someone is selling it then there is probably something wrong with it.

Donkson,

You made a poor, uninformed post and were quickly educated. That's ok, it happens to the best of us. But shifting the goalposts in an attempt to save face is not a good look. Running away from fear is fear; fighting pain is pain; trying to be brave is being scared.

Transparency and integrity are of utmost importance in this industry. Since you seem like kind of a mouthbreather, here's a list of the Top 7 things you should try to avoid when Betting Sports:

1. Going into business with a convicted bank robber
2. Creating multiple gimmick accounts to beg for handouts about how to build models
3. Pretending to befriend a degenerate gambler and give him good bets, while secretly betting the opposite side
4. Manipulating your record with rounding errors and other creative accounting
5. Attempting to welch on a bet when the forum gets hacked
6. Escrowing for a contest and then not paying out
7. Fabricating stories about your success and failing to disclose prior ownership in a sportsbook, while shilling for a front office job yet claiming you're not selling anything
