The latest news is that Kuo should be on the roster, but that Saito will probably be left off! Rosters are due 10:00 AM tomorrow.

Bodog coming through again

skip the Dodgers winning 4 to 0

Dodgers win series 4 to 1 +500
Dodgers win series 4 to 2 +400
Dodgers win series 4 to 3 +600
Either team sweeps-'YES' +450

Balancing this adds up to a better series price than the Dodgers are currently at plus you get the Phillies sweeping the series

In addition, you can find some better prices for some of the outcomes at other books

just to illustrate, if you put one unit down on each of those 4 possibilities without any other considerations, you have the Dodgers (plus a Phillies Sweep) at a minimum of +125
which is widely arbable with Phillies prices everywhere

ummm.... apparently, you can do this at quite a few sportsbooks

for example, 5dimes has
either team sweep at +590
Dodgers 4 to 1 +575
Dodgers 4 to 2 +475
Dodgers 4 to 3 +470

Recheck your math.

Scalpulator Results:

Bet 1: $100.00 @ +125
Bet 2: $32.61 @ +590
Bet 3: $33.33 @ +575
Bet 4: $39.13 @ +475
Bet 5: $39.47 @ +470

Total Investment: $244.55

Total Return: $225.00

Edit: Errr, well I read your Phillies price wrong, but it doesn't seem arbable even with my crappy reading skillz.

Personally, I have to disagree with that. Momentum means quite a bit during the stretch run - like the Giants last year going in to the Super Bowl.

oh i see we have finally entered that parallel universe where winning 3 in a row is hotter than winning 7 in a row

Let me get this straight...if you are red hot, you can beat any team, except for hotter teams. How do we find out if a team is hotter than another? If one beats the other, that team is hotter.

Ok, I got it.

Seemingly this would be a question of semantics, but perhaps I'm thinking of teams that are starting to "peak" at the right time. The Dodgers played quite marginally the first half of the season and of late, they've gotten it together.

Does this actually seem like a "question of semantics" to you?

What the hell does, "seemingly this would be a question of semantics" mean anyway? I know what all those words mean, but strung together like that it looks like garbage. GARBAGE, SAYS I!

You don't remember? The layoff killed the Rockies' hotness LDO. This allowed Boston to load up on very hot sauce from a local Taco Bell and counter the Rockies' regular hot sauce.

Try reading it again. This time, don't move your lips when you're reading and take your finger off of the text as you go across the screen.

Now that the Dodgers, my "peaking" team, are losing two to zip, I'll figure out a way to get my other foot in my mouth when/if they drop 2 more games.
