Why the rush to take half a point less than a key number on a couple of road teams? You wait, you might find a 3 or a 7 somewhere during the week. If not you don't give up much having to take +2 or +6.

NE is down to -1. I kinda like that.

Agree with NYJ +6.5.

Miami I'm assuming would be around -3 with Penny? Maybe +1 is a good pick there but I have no idea what to make of the Henne factor.

Cincy@Cleveland sounds like a familiar BSP pick.

Gonna wait to make my bets but Cincy is looking really tempting right now.

I'm liking

Cincy (-5.5) vs Clev
Giants (-9) vs KC
Bucs (+7) vs Redskins (this line just screams stupid)
Saints (-6.5) vs Jets

haven't booked any yet... however, these are listed in the order in which i feel confident about the bets

I am making the following bet:

CIN -5.5

I plan to make more bets as the week goes on but still researching.

YTD: 10-3-0

Week 2 (4-2-0)
Week 3 (6-1-0)

Cincy should be 10 to 13 point favorites. Am I missing something?

Fading road favs for the overall period of last 25 years plus has been blindly profitable.

I don't see how you can say this, when just 3 weeks ago the Vikes were only 3.5 point favorites in the dog pound. I think that Cincy is overrated after a couple lucky wins.

did everyone overlook that fact that pennington is out for mia and chad henne couldn't couldn't hit the broad side of a barn? I took the bills -1 as my lock of the week

I'm taking the Jets +6.5 as my lock of the week but do not pay any attention to me because I am super biased and think 6.5 is way too many points for the third ranked defense in football which has given up 2 touchdowns in 3 games to Houston, New England and Tennessee.

TB +7.

Gonna stick with what's been working - fading Washington as somewhat heavy favorites. As bad as Tampa is, they've been forced to abandon their running game each week due to large deficits early. TB has the 2nd fewest attempts in the league, albeit at a respectable 4.3 ypc (similarly, Wash D yields 4.4 ypc). I can't see Washington jumping out to a two TD lead by halftime in this one, thereby needing to rely on (groan) Josh Johnson to win the game for them. TB should be able to give Cadillac and Ward 35+ carries without having to abandon the run after a quarter and a half, and they keep this one close.

GL to all.

Hmm. I actually think going into last week they were underrated due to a fluky loss in Week 1. I would not consider winning in Lambeau and beating Pittsburgh at home as "lucky" wins. Their game-winning drive against Pitt showed alot of heart (although shoddy clock management almost killed the comeback). After last week though, they appear to be properly "rated".

And they won by 14 points. Since then, Cleveland has absorbed two blowout losses and is the consensus worst team in the NFL. You're also conveniently forgetting Cincy's very unlucky loss in week 1. I think they are getting the reverse Patriots treatment, where because they've sucked for so long people aren't buying them even though they're clearly a better team than the past few seasons.

Rarely has Kyle Boller been considered an upgrade in anything.

Standard comment that almost all rbs dont really matter as effectiveness is fairly primarily determined by line play. (See FO for this analysis).

Btw wash/tb is o/u 39. Given wash's abysmal off play and an inexperienced qb for tb (+ their overall bleh play). Doesnt this game play out as 13-9/16-10 a bunch of the time.

I also like the under on the Washington game. Jason Campbell hasn't really developed at all, kind of reminds me of Vince Young. Started out like a stud, done nothing recently.

Anyone have any reads on BAL NE this weekend? Missed out at BAL+3 and wondering if we'll see any movement back in that direction. I think NE will struggle against Baltimore's defense/efficient offense from Flacco should result in low scoring game. Also weighing ML versus points? I'm kind of new to this and thought I'd gauge your thoughts.

While I agree Boller would be an upgrade at QB, it is not even certain Bulger is going to be out this week.
