WSH +3
HOU ML (I am a wuss, they are going to blow the lions out)

Also, Preflopraiser who took MIA ML in their parlay.... I want to hear your reasoning? behind that.
Sorry to say I like like the exact opposite of all 3. I usually root for you, but not today brotha.

Happy thanksgiving , and if your bets lose at least feel consoled that big willy won on the other side. Heh.

House , we entered a 250 block pool. So 25k pool. We drew 4 Detroit 0 Houston. So 14-0 we win 1k. If final score is like 24-10 we can win like 14-18k. But it has to be Detroit with the 4 and Houston score end with a 0.

Kinda fun and we only put up 125 each. But we drew really good #s. My other friend drew 9-5 ROFL, worst #s you could ask for.

Houston offense is looking god awful right now btw.. its frustrating but,
it makes me feel like DAL offense will look even worse.

According to the 3+1 thread we will be able to fade Charlie Batch on the road this week and GET points. Isn't that a lock?

I'm sure I'm not the first person to think of this but something's been bugging me.

It seems reasonable that 2nd & 1 is better than 1st and 10 in almost every possible scenario (there are exceptions). Why then does a running back or WR/TE or even QB not make a rational split second calculation that it is better to drop to give 2nd & 1 than to gain a maximum of three yards past the 1st and 10? Clearly there are situations where it is better to keep running if allowed to; but in most situations where you are covered defensively, it will be more profitable to set up 2nd & 1. Has this approach ever been adapted for a match or a season??

I think I've confused myself. But if you're on the opp's 40 yard line and you can choose between 2nd & 1 and 1st & 10, I'd choose 2nd & 1. This is because I see it as more yards projected gained before going three and out. Maybe that's the wrong way to look at it.

i mean thats obviously the easy thing to say, but rex led jets teams typically split with the patriots, they lost in over time last game because hill couldn't catch the most standard of passes or else they would have won...comin into this year jets r .500 against new england under rex, besides my biased, the trends of late point to the jets winning...and if i do take ml it will be fore a small amount any way...

lots of people itt say they wouldnt touch the jets even with the points but no one has stated any reasons..seams like most ppl just figure its the LOLjets and they are playing the almighty patriots...and thats just not a good enough reason for me....if you think the patriots will run it up, you are absolutely correct, but who says that they will be able to is my point

Well, we hit a score change. 24-20 before they hit the extra point, so we won 1000. At least we get our money back.

Really hard for us to win the final now. Final score has to be 30-24 texans or 34-30 detroit. Bleh. Oh well at least we won something.

Yeah lets meet up for a drink? What days will you be here? You like shooting darts? Or we could go out and play poker at Harrah's or Parx. Let me know.

By the way guys, I know I'm very cautious when giving advice, and I could be really wrong here, but I think the Patriots game can be worse than you think. 7-7.5 is a LOT of points in the NFL, especially a division game like this. The last time they played the Patriots looked pretty good and the Jets looked like the laughing stock of the NFL and they went to OT.

I dunno man. I'm liking the Jets a lot, even though the Jets are terrible. These division games can be close, and these two teams hate each other. I could see the Patriots winning , but I could see a grind out tit-for-tat type game too, just like in the previous one. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Jets won outright.

In a matchup like this, I'll always take the points, and if it's IN NY. The hook just makes it so much easier to go with the Jets.

Just wanted to throw my thoughts out there.
