just found out that the last 7 people in one of my leagues was on Ten this week. $1150 chopped 7 ways.
Still pretty disappointed that I won't get to use Seattle next week

If the situation you're describing is a complete elimination of all players, (1 missed pick and the other 14 picked a loser) then we'd rule this as a co-elimination and it would be a 15 way chop.

If your pool rules stipulate that in a week where all remaining players lose, that they all get a mulligan and advance, (which is what I infer from your question about moving on) then I'd say that all 15 should get to advance. A loss is a loss, whether by picking a loser, or elimination via a missed pick.

nah... all eliminations for a given week should be equal, regardless of when during that weeks games you were eliminated...

Letting a player who would have an extra team at his disposal stay in the competition is a no go.

Seems obvious to me.

Oh crap, I kind of misread that and just realized that everyone was eliminated. So yeah, what are you going to do when he has an extra team?

I think having an extra team should probably be the reason for eliminating the player.

Most importantly -- what rules did the commissioner publicize at the start of the season?

commish probably didn't expect that anyone would miss a pick at a time crucial enough that the poll could end. not all commissioners plan for stuff like this, unfortunately.

Entered a midseason Survivor Pool that started this week AFTER Indianapolis & Tennessee lost on Sportsbook. Pick 2 teams per week. Both have to win to advance. Over 50% of entrants out before I entered. They rake like 40% of the prize pool obv.

Took New Orleans in every entry. Matched them with 5 each on Arizona, New Orleans & San Francisco

very true.
In this case I would assume that you could do one of two things.

If you did have some pool rule that in a week where all eliminated entries were revived then you could revive their teams as well.

But the most obvious way to handle it would be a pool-ending chop, with all entries that lost this week, regardless of whether they lost by picking a loser or failing to make a pick. This is how our pool would handle it.

and then as soon as I say that, I find that one of the survivor pools hosted on our site is facing this exact scenario if Miami loses tonight.
11 entries going into week 10. 8 on losers, one on Miami, and 2 missed. I've been asked that if Miami loses, to reset the 9 entries that lost, and leave the 2 that missed the deadline out. So there you go... not how we'd handle it but obviously some are. it's definitely something that should be clear in your pool rules.

Seems like someone that didn't get a pick in shouldn't be out of the pool if nobody else picks a winner. I get that they shouldn't get the benefit of not losing a team either. Maybe take away the most valuable team they have left as the punishment?

I like the policy of first missed pick = you get the biggest unused favorite, second missed pick = elimination.

knocked out of small ish 35 person pool with Indy, but can't even begin to complain as nearly 85% of my biggest pool were knocked out with the majority being on Indy, Tenn, and some on SF...I was gonna be on Indy in both pools, but luckily changed last minute to New Orleans.

72 remaining players from an initial 1799.

Anyone else a lil bit more worried then they should be about this SEA vs MINN game? Yes I know they don't lose at home and MINN has been crappy, but SEA's O-line has not been good vs a decent MINN pass rush and also the other weakness is in SEA's Defense more specifically against the Run which in this case will be versus all day AP Adrian Peterson.

SEA still has the highest EV according to my survivor grid as it's coming in as 82.9% win percentage and only 13.2% popularity which is 3rd most popular or so. Am I just over thinking?

Pretty surprising to see SEA struggle against TB but I highly doubt it happens again. Don't over-think it...

Is this a second chance pool?

nah been going all season, but teams r reusable...I believe Ponder is out for this game too which I didn't realize before, and Harvin is coming back for SEA so they'll have another weapon on top of Tate down the field in case the run game doesn't work, so I feel better about it now.

wait Ponder is questionable, should start but what QB they play still doesn't really make that big a difference.

Is your Pool still called Survivor?

I know it takes out all the strategy, my first time playing one of these but after all the cards fell it's the only one I'm still in for this season and biggest prize pool at least.

But if I ever had doubts about the power of separation they were magnified last week, as obv Titans and Colts were the favorites but I changed to Saints last minute and avoided the nearly 85% elimination of the pool. Future value goes out the window, but there's still separation.

I'm still weighing my options for today. 10 left, picks so far are:

Arizona 3
Cincinnati 2
Houston 2
Seattle 1

I have ARZ/CIN/HOU/NYG still available. Have been planning on taking the Giants all week, but their line has been moving in the wrong direction, while the Cardinals/Jags has been moving in the opposite direction.
