Three of us left in my pool. Below is a list of teams used by each person. Which guy has the advantage? Which guy is in the worst shape? Thanks for chiming in.

A - DAL HOU MIN LAC NE

B - DAL BAL NE KC PHI

C - BAL HOU DAL LAC PHI

B is worst.

C is best, but it's not that much better than A imo.

Looks like I will go NE too. Lots gone from KC and CHI today.

The .01 buy-in started with 249 entries of which 144 entries were owned by user 189. That pool now has 48 entries alive, 25 owned by user 189. User 2316833 has three entries alive, 14763 and 5088378 each have two, and sixteen accounts have a single entry alive.

The .03 buy-in at Nitrogen started with 112 is now down to 38 left. Twenty accounts have a single entry alive. One account has five entries, another has three entries, and five accounts have two entries each remaining.

Needless to say, for those still alive in pools which are widdling down to 30 or less people, it is wise to compile a spreadsheet of who remains, what each remaining entry looks like, and pick accordingly.

Popularity numbers, and to some extent FV numbers, become more personalized as entrants reduce.

Most experienced players do this----which of course also creates some interesting mindgames as entries reduce even further.

Out of 25 entries:

NONE have NEP available.
He can select Baltimore in 12.
Out of the 13 remaining, he can only select Dallas in 4 of those.
Out of the 9 remaining, he can select KC in 8 of those.

The last entry is BAL/KC/DAL/NE/MIN.

Not that this person has acted rationally or has thought things through, but we are getting to the point where **** is hitting the fan.

My remaining entry is DAL/BAL/MIN/LAC/PHI, so I'm locked into NEP this week and then praying for carnage on Sunday.

I have two entries left in the .01.

The first one NE is easy choice. The second I have BAL available, but I'm not sure.

Given you've used dal and lac as well, bal seems like a slam dunk

Only 12 of 48 entries have Patriots available. 11 of those have used Ravens, Cowboys and Chargers already.

That game will be played already. Of the 36 or 37 left to pick, 21 or 22 will have Ravens available.

Well obviously you can't pick Patriots because it's a Thursday night game. Just like you should never pick road teams or divisional games. Should find the next best option.

Only 700 have NE and only 592 have Dallas left

NE+DAL is good in a 2 pick pool. Doubt many others have that combo.

Don't really see any other options for you unless you want to get cute with WAS @ MIA

Just looking ahead, Week 9 looks quite lean outside of Buffalo home vs. Washington. Just something to think about for anyone who was snap locking Buffalo vs. Miami next week.

I'm AI on New England in every entry I have left.


I'm in this pool too. I have 6 entries remaining. I've already used Baltimore, Dallas & LAC in ALL of them. I'm taking New England in ALL and pairing them with Atlanta & Washington.

This looks silly on the surface, but it's not worth wasting Green Bay & Kansas City when they're only 4.5 favorites.

LAR and Minnesota have FV. Atlanta & Washington don't. Denver fits the same criteria. Might change it up with something with those 3 and New England.

It doesn't matter what type of pool you're playing do NOT take Green Bay, Kansas City or LAR this week. They aren't worth taking under any circumstance. Take one of the shitty teams I listed above if you have to dip this deep. You'll need these teams later.

I am looking forward to Week 9. I might end up splitting my entries across a lot of teams that week, if it doesn't open up.

Hoping my pool just ends this week since I'm the only one with NE left, but don't see BAL losing.

In the same boat. Relatively more people have BAL left in that pool and I would love to save them for week 15 but don’t see any other options this week.

I'm on the fence as to whether DAL or BAL are actually better picks than WAS when accounting for future value. Leaning towards "yes, they are."

This is for my small buy-in pool. No double picks. 35 people left.

16 of 38 in the Nitrogen .03 took Pats. 21 had them remaning, meaning 5 ppl still do, provided those entries survive.

If user 1749763 (DAL / BAL / MIN / LAC / PHI) survives in the 0.1 Nitrogen pool, he will be the only one with Patriots still available. 48 entries left in that one but only 12 had Patriots available and 11 took them.
