Totally agree.

The sport needs more people who go for the finish. The odds of that ko happening against him are 1 in 50 historically in those situations.

This is all true. I started getting nervous about my Varner bets shortly into r1 though, when it became clear he was totally cool with just standing and trading bombs with Abel.

I hope he retires so he still keeps this option for the next 40 years of his life. He has given good loyal service to the UFC for a dozen years and as a citizen of Lv he def. can be an asset to the UFC outside of the ring.

The only match he should take is a trilogy with big nog in Brazil as a favour to him as undoubtedly big Nog feels their last match was a loss by mistake. A duel retirement match would be a good marketing tool for the UFC.

Would have liked to see him pursue the finish more. However him not ****ing it up out of nowhere makes me very happy!

Would like to see him fight Stipe next. Fear they may do him vs JDS though.
