I'm done for the weekend.

Got Iaquinta for 1.7 units to win 1 unit.
Boetsch by Ko 0.2 to win 2 units.
Took Anderson at -400 as I figured it would steam given the promotion of the fight. If Silva hits around -520 I should have a hedge for 0.2 units at evens.

Last bet is Gastelum at -120 for 1 unit which seems to be against the general consensus in this thread. But when I look at Gastelum's skillset and I look at the way Woodley has been beaten in the past I understand why Gastelum asked for this fight.

Just saw Dufresne,Soriano and Rhodes all cut. Big mistake imo. All 3 have a lot if potential... (Also Igor and damn were cut)

Dufresne looked beyond awful last time out and has missed weight a few times. Definitely deserved to be cut.

She had a lot of potential. Could still beat most fighters outside of the top 15. She is also in one of the thinnest divisions the ufc has. I just feel all 3 of those fighters deserved one more shot.

Gotta make weight first, but she looked like she had never had striking instruction before in her last bout. Just slow, plodding around, no head movement, and maybe it's because of the cut, but. ..

How do you see Gastelum winning? I think Woodley has superior standup and I'd be blown away if Gastelum takes him down. Gastelum has been tagged quite a bit, while Woodley was outboxing Carlos fkn Condit.

Woodly said he is 10lbs lighter than he normally is at this time. Sounds like good news for his questionable 3rd round cardio.

Is that a positive correlation though? I don't remember seeing that pattern that often in fighters who shed weight. It's more like, going up in weight class is better for your conditioning and going down too much drains you. This is of course not counting for the fact that if you don't train at a heavier weightclass, but then have to do cardio to get down, then ldo you will have better cardio. But I don't think undertraining has been a problem with Woodley, just more like he packs lots of muscles.

That was specifically AJ's weakness when he fought earlier, but now that he's moved up his gastank extends beyond 1 round.

If she didn't get cut then no one should. Rogan during commentary sounded scared for her health practically screaming for the ref to stop the fight. She had no business in there in her last fight and needs to improve a lot before she gets another crack.

And someone in the comments said...

"After translating (Ariel’s?) the question and Anderson confirms he’s got KO’d,
Ed Soares tells him in Portuguese: "do not say that!" (that you’ve got knocked out).

Then when asked "when was that", Ed says to Anderson: "don’t tell him, don’t tell him!".
Then, they said it was a joke. I don’t think you need to be a Portuguese speaker to feel like it was actually not a joke. Seemed real to me, given Ed was advising Anderson not to talk about it."

It starts at like 5:50 ... hmm... definitely much more likely that he is not trolling ^^

Lots of fighters look silly vs clearly superior fighters. Connor just Made Siver look like a complete can. Doesn't mean he is one. The fact Rogan wanted the fight stopped, really Doesn't mean a thing in this argument.

Let's not forget she should be 1-1 in the ufc if not for a terrible Decision.

Will happily bet that she goes undefeated until her UFC return. (With the stipulation that if she moves to 145 the bet is off)

You're willing to bet Dufresne doesnt lose outside the UFC? I'd take that bet with a stip that she fights min twice outside the UFC before being called back

She probably goes to 145 though after missing weight twice by a lot right?

She probably either goes to 145 or fights once and gets brought back. The two fight stipulation makes me feel like you will be freerolling to often.

she was ridiculously terrible. her striking defense consisted of closing her eyes and putting out her hands.

Lol. This entire thread is judging her whole fighting career on one fight.

Are we going to fade Siver vs the entire division because of his last fight? She was beat. She was outclassed. Some major holes in her game came very obvious. She is still a top talent for women's BW.

No way you could present a strong argument on why she wouldn't be a favourite vs girls like Rackozy, Bazler Nakai, Pacheco, Moras, Gaff, Randamie and Duke. She'd probably be a pretty live dog vs Phillips, Dudevia, Pennington and Evans-Smith too.

My point isn't that she is a world beater that will challenge Rousey some day. My point is that she is a Ufc caliber fighter that is still improving, in a division that needs good fighters.

How about one fight and brought back is a push, 4 wins outside ufc you autowin even if not brought back

Alright that's good. All fights must be scheduled for 135 though. What weight she is does not matter, as long as it was scheduled for 135.

Will do it for up to $100.

Pretty sure it's just those 2. Although if there is one I'm forgetting let me know. Gl!

Anyone else think Ronda beats Cat in under a minute at +650 is decent? I mean it's unlikely and all but I think she armbars her in the first minute more than 1 in 7 times right?

Also Wonderboy +800 by decision against Thatch has to be decent right? Fight looks competitive on paper and even in a 5 rounder will go the distance well over a third of the time
