It's just minimizing the sum of (predicted outcome - actual match)^2. You can do it in Excel using Solver or manually through guess and check.

Bet365 completely asleep at the wheel in the FIBA Asia Cup Bronze medal game. They lived streamed it, and it was a back and forth super excited ending with lots of time outs and chances for bets.

Amazing finish too. Philippines who didn't lead the entire game once, has ball with like half a minute left down 2 and tries a 3-pointer and misses. 4 second difference shot to game clock decides to play defense down 2. With 6 seconds left in the game makes a good foul as big man drives in for lay-up or dunk. He misses BOTH free-throws. Philippines rebounds with no time out and rushes down the court with 6 seconds to play and with no time left on the clock tries to take a desperation 3 point attempt and gets fouled. He makes all 3 free-throw to give them their first lead of the game with 0:00 left winning them the bronze.

During all of this including time it was stopped for free-throw before China took lead, his 2 -misses and the ending, live betting was showing the odds but was suspended lol. Makes no sense to live stream it, have odds, then not let anyone bet.

Instead of power rankings use RSW totals, convert those to each game's avg expected win%, add/subtract HFA for each game, and get an avg home/away win probability, apply log5 to each matchup, convert win% to spread and boom you have RSW implied point spreads for all games.

not a bad idea, tomg. my next step was converting spreads to win% and making your own RSW's automatically as I have beaten the RSW markets for several years using this methodology.
