All I know is that holdemking shouldve given us a heads-up on this one.. we had a sick swami angle with "there goes kevin" and "mikeswayorthehiway".

Cmon! Kevroc and pdxmike!

We nail the exacta ice cold and wheel the bottom in trifectas for robusto!!

I'm staying on the sidelines for now.. addicted to horseracegame.

Haven't run in any user races yet but, I have entered a few.

Won a small bettors tournament and having a blast training my three horses, two that I bred myself and one that I claimed.. he ran dead last going 5.5f on the synth at DMR but, he looks like he might like grass and giving lasix to carry his speed a little further.. lol virtualaments!

I've given it a look and here is my early analysis...

Quote:
Race Three Mcl 25k 4yo & up 5f synth

Devil's Mate is a first time starter working nicely and doesn't have much to beat in here. I normally don't like firsters going for a tag but, Simply Put is the main contender and she is dropping down from 80k and even ran in for 100k in her only SA race and is beatable. The other one that needs to be used is Humble Maggie Go, second lifetime start for Hollendorfer and very eligible to improve. She had to go wide and thru traffic in her opener. She ran a 77 equibase figure and the par for this race is 78, so not much improvement needed to achieve that. As for pace.. Kaylie's Joy and Sister Lucy should duel each other to pieces. Valdez comes off of Kaylie to ride the first timer listed above and Sister Lucy wore fronts last time out, has had many chances and always fades.
Quote:
Race Four Starter Allowance 22k 4yo & up restricted *6.5f TURF

Love Belongs To Gotham here. Seven lifetime starts and has never missed the board, a steady and consistent sort that will surely give you a ride. Rosario/Kitchingman is a very reliable combo and he is 2-0-1-1 on grass, so the ability is not a question mark. Intothewild, Warrens Summergold and Full On will ensure a fast pace but, they each have question marks regarding turf ability and/or long layoffs. Proud Hillbilly gets a positive rider switch to Gomez and is fresh, so I'd put in a backup win bet on him in case Gotham doesn't fire.
Quote:
Race Five MSW 45k 3yo 1 1/16 M synth

This one appears to be a pace battle between Brace Yourselves and Saw Perfection. These two can also carry their speed (assuming SawPerfection handles the synth). Ziggy's Stardust is a super capable sort who gets a switch to leading rider Bejarano and should have the hot pace to run at, although the workouts since his last race (where he was a beaten fave) are terrible.. Hollendorfer doesn't have to show blistering works to do well, especially with late runners. A longshot consideration is Mister Do It, Hendricks brings this one in turf-to-synth. He went from synth to turf last time, took the blinkers off and stretched out to a mile. All of that and still ran 3rd in a field of 10, chasing the pace. March 1st he works a blistering 4f in :46 flat handily, the best time out of 73 runners that morning. Must use.
Quote:
Race Six Allowance/Opt 25k claimers Cal Bred 4yo & up 6f synth

This one was difficult. Scofield Barracks threw a 101 equibase figure last out and although I tend to think they bounce off of that.. this 4yo is lightly raced, it was his first go over the oval and now gets a nice 5 week freshening layoff with beautiful smooth and steady works. O'Neill has Bejarano back up and looking for back-to-back winners. Smoke Cat is the other major contender in here. This 7yo gelding was claimed for a paltry $8k on Dec 20th and was immediately entered at this level and took the field 3/4 of the way until giving up stubbornly late. In that race he rattled off a 1/2 in :21 4/5 and a half in :45 flat. 15 days later, Pender entered him again at the same level and he takes them right down to the wire and gets nailed by a head, he carved out a half mile in :44 4/5 that time! Spot the diplomat is a contender in here up off of a $20k claim Jan 31st by Mullins. I trust Mullins up off the claim and love Rosario but, 6 for 39 lifetime and 1 for 12 over the oval, I'm going to have to pass and hope he doesn't beat me. Party Mandate has a longshot chance, he ran well at the Oak Tree meeting and is fresh. Small win bet at the very least.
Quote:
Race Seven Allowance/Optional 80k Claimers 3yo *6.5f TURF

This race I had to go deep to encapture all of the possible winners. Ghost Girl is a lightly raced Ghostzapper filly from the high percentage Kathy Walsh barn. She gets Bejarano up and has been working nicely. I'm not overly impressed with the maiden victory at hawthorne at thirty cents on the dollar but, would be foolish to leave off the ticket. Elusive Galaxy is a Ben Cecil filly that comes out of the BC Juvenille Turf and was obviously overmatched. Before that, she ran very well in a G3 up in Canada and this is a great spot for her to score. Sweet Hanni is my favorite horse in this race. She already has a win over this turf course and distance with plenty of frontrunning speed. Won't get an easy lead here but, fresh and fit. Speaking of fresh, Tanda comes in for Hendricks/Solis as another speed demon. She ran second in her last race where she sat just 2 lengths behind a sizzling :43 1/5 half mile! Also, CitytoCity ran third in that race and just recently came back to score. Lastly, Cash Queen Anna comes off the plane from England. She has never missed the board in 5 career starts and to dismiss this Paddy Gallagher/Garret Gomez connection would be a mistake.

Race Eight Mcl 32k 3yo 6.5f synth

Nightcap races like this, anyone can jump up and bite you. I plan on playing pick four/pick three tickets depending on how alive I am, so I am going to go with a bold single here. Summers At Delmar is listed as the 2:1 ML favorite but, wow is this one vulnerable. 0 for 10 lifetime, yes he is taking a big drop in class but, where is the talent? Mild excuses but, this is a stretch-running type that needs pace and racing luck and is not guaranteed to get either of them. For my money, I'm going with Kim's Leading Man. I'm not the biggest Sutherland fan but, this ridgeling has good early speed and even though she was a beaten favorite last time.. Abrams keeps Chantel in the saddle and adds blinkers. I say he gets brave today and takes the finale.

Ahaha no kidding. I definitely belong in the kiddie game. I would've played a ticket had I gone to the track but the nit in me just can't stand paying like 5% in fees if I want to deposit with youbet/xpress. Also I've played 4 p6's from simulcasts and missed the first leg in all 4 - it was a very anticlimactic and disheartening experience An additional bonus of fake tickets is when I inevitably lose I say to myself "Wow good thing I didn't bet that - it's as if I've WON $96!"

60's isn't bad but I only go to SA a few occasions out of the year so I try to do it when it's clear and warm. That way you can see the mountains in the background and really enjoy being outside... makes a world of difference. Today is $1 hot dog and beers though

gl again for your guys' REAL tickets

Vetiver my man,all that stuff in the middle you said about bad crap happening, think this will be my karma today also....but...had to try...You do give me hope though, and would love a PM when/if you go out to SA this meet...could be a few bones in it for ya for some prop stuff for this thread...

imo also, that 4 or 5% well worth it with what available handicapping tools are included, and i looove conditional wagering...set it and forget it...

Sister Lucy takes the third. There is no way I take this horse at 7:2. She has shown gate problems and quits often. Of course, Pedroza gets her to rate on this day of all days! pssssssh

I like #6 Sanagree in Race 7 at Santa Anita today. ML is 8 to 1, which I think is good value. I think Sanagree will like the distance today, and can get into the mix. Good jockey (M Garcia) and good trainer (Baffert).

going to throw at $20 WP as long as I can get 4 to1 or better (I should be able to...)
