I've been trying to chase steam on NCAABB totals this week and I have had some good results mixed with bad. My problem is getting a # which swings back against me. Now I could, and probably will resist non enormous steam moves that aren't within 10-20-30 mins before gametime, but it seems like you can really miss out on some serious ev if you arent willing to bet earlier than this. I see from the half point calc 3 points on a NCAA total is very nice. Any tips??

I also noticed that some steam hits Pinny last....I use baller SBRodds and can watch the whole board light up moving #s and Pinny's line will be the stale one until it finally gets pounded. Is their another book's lines I should watch along with as good as Pinny's dynamic? Greek? etc... Is this action indicative of "syndicate" quality money?? I take it they hit all the books they can before Pinny because pinny doesn't move on air whereas the reverse is true.

I rarely bet CBB total steam. I might have under half a dozen bets this season.

The NCAAB totals market is too dysfunctional. Pinnacle especially has no idea what they are doing. Chase steam on something else.

Any market is dysfunctional when you can eat the same number of Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers as you can bet on a line.

Hmm, weird. Haven't paid attention to the CBB totals market this year, but last year I hit just under 57% over 750 or so bets. Not really sure what all would've changed this year aside from totals being put up much later in the first few weeks of the season.

Obviously I was running hotter than piss last year and my winrate was unsustainable but I can't imagine this becoming a losing strategy overnight.

What's your sample size?
