what does the +125 mean in 'city-1.5 goals +125 1u'?
It means he's betting Man C wins by 2 goals or more and getting +125.

$10 wins $12.50 for a return of $22.5

Nearly 8,000 posts and you did not know this. Are you a sportsbetter at all or just a chat guy?

srry im a fish at this, +125 is +125 what? i thought the 1u is like the amount hes betting so 1u = 1 unit (i.e. £100 or w/e)

is that correct?

1u is 1 unit. +125 is American odds. It's all in relation to 100. +125 means bet 100 to win 125. -125 would mean bet 125 to win 100.

Looks like they answered your question. Good ole American odds. The 7-4-1 is my ytd for this current season. I was in Canada the last six months and didn't bet at all. I did watch and follow the EPL while there, just didn't start betting it til I got back to the States.

oh ok im from the UK, we use fractions or decimals.

what does 7-4-1 = in terms of ROI?

7-4-1 is my record. Wins, losses, ties. I'm +3.85u so far. So say a unit =$100, then you would be up $385 so far. Everybody has different sized units when they bet be it anywhere from $10 to $1000 and so on.

7-4-1(current record, w,l,t) +3.85u(how many units I'm up or down)

Liverpool +225(American odds, so 1u(my normal bet) would return me 2.25u)

1-0+ 2.25u(how I did on that day)

8-4-1 +6.1u( my updated record)

Just an example of a day
Hope that makes it easier for you

So I'm new to sports betting and mostly doing it because I love watching soccer....

In the first player to score props for Man U/Real Ronaldo would pay out at 13/5 while Varane would pay out at 33/1. I assume that the timing of a particular player's goal is more or less random? Ronaldo is as likely to score at minute 5 as he is in 85. Ronaldo has scored this season at a rate of 37 in 35. Meanwhile Varane has scored at 2 in 17. Based on these numbers Varane should pay out about 9 times as Ronaldo. Instead he pays out 12.7 times as much. So it seems to me that on this particular prop, Varane should be great value?

Going to guess Ronaldo is way more likely to start than Varane/Varane won't have the same confidence or ability as Ronaldo to attack Man Utd defence

i'm not sure, but i don't think you should look at a player's relative chance of scoring compared to another player. what's important is what you think their absolute chance of scoring is and whether the bookies odds reflect that

I have $20 free in play bet on Manchester United vs Real Madrid.

Rules are that I need to place $20 bet pregame and then they will match $20 in game bet.

What are my best arbing options? Bet365 btw

Where do u guys see the value in today's CL clash? I'm pondering on making my 1st ever football bet and what better match to start with than this. At first, I was leaning towards Real but I'm not so sure now given United's home record and the fact that they've been playing well too. Real do seem to be in better form currently though with their 2 thumping victories over Barca. This 1's obv a risky bet and with money coming in on United right now, I'm rly at a fix. Thoughts guys?

And any props u guys see good value in?
