given the poor planning and execution of the entire event, I doubt Gary Shaw could have even executed a fixed fight.

I feel very, very vindicated in not betting on Kimbo for this one.

Also, BJ Penn or any WEC LHW would wreck Kimbo. EXC has me so, so angry. Speaking of the fix being in, at one point, you can SEE GARY SHAW'S SON ON THE CAGE WALL SCREAMING TO STAND THEM UP.... after which Thompson gets stood up from side control.

The referee seemingly having an interest in Kimbo winning...
and Gary Shaw's insanely BS speech trying convey that Thompson was in the hospital and was seriously injured...

Any of these things by themselves proves nothing, but it adds up. I don't think you can fix a legitimate sport such as MMA, but I do think Gary Shaw tried as best as he could.

Is there the slightest bit of anything that is pointing to the fight NOT being fixed? There's like a dozen pieces of evidence pointing to the fix. I'm now wishing that Kimbo Slice would have been knocked out so that the ref could have disqualified Thompson for some phantom eye poke or something.

That's the side I was on, but there's getting to be a pile of evidence against it. I am very much not a conspiracy theorist, but this is looking like a very sloppy fix that almost went wrong for the fixers.
