college football LOCK of the week college football LOCK of the week

You obviously know your stuff, and not trying to rain on your parade, but I think you're looking too much into the MSU stayed close and shouldve won against LSU.

LSU gets nothing from QB play whatsoever and managed to put up 31pts against MSU's defense. MSU had 4 plays from the 1 to score and couldnt... At home

You seem to follow the SEC almost exclusively which is why you do so well, and takes great discipline. The majority of people who lose betting sports win the games they think are locks each week but are complete degenerates and get 1/2 or less of what they wanted on it because they already bet and lost an earlier game. Thats why I never understand the guys that bet 10-12 games per day. You're strategy of betting 1-3 is quite optimal and you keep it in the SEC where you definately know your stuff which is even better.

I really think you're underestimating MTSU and quite candidly dont think youve seen them play at all this year.. MTSU has a very good QB. They kinda remind you of earlier Troy/Fresno State teams of this decade. MSU could very easily win the game, but theres gotta be better value this week..

Optimal What?

Betting only a few games rather than a bunch. Not trying to start an argument but I notice you bet 12-15games each week.. I assume you do ok, but dont you think youd do better if you singled it down to only a few games? Everyone has their own comfort level and maybe taking out the risk of a horrible week is yours but atleast IMO you're risking upwards of 20 units on 12-15 games with the realistic hope of making 2-3.. 9-6 which is 60% is going to pay around 2.4units depending on bet sizes.

The more games you bet, the harder it is to make a profit, especially when going 1-1 is a loss

How much of my bankroll would you suggest I risk on these 1-3 games?

Thats not the point. How hard is it to pick 15 games each week, and continually make a profit. How many guys do you think that bet every game they see make money. Probably under 10%

Is betting sports a hobby for you, or are you in it to make money. Dont you think that if you're currently betting around 20 units/week that if you scrapped down and bet only the games you really liked youd make more?

Im sure Im missing something because you seem to do alright.. I just dont get the mindset of betting in mass because if you're good at picking games shouldnt you concentrate on only a few? Im just trying to understand the mindset thats all.. Nothing against you or anyone else that bets a bunch of games, Im just tyring to understand the thought process

I'll stop the threadjack here. I just felt compelled to point out the blatant fallacy you dropped there so that the fire doesn't spread. Answers are in FAQ and plenty of other places.

Back to the LOX!!

Miss St it is...

I would rather go 8-5 and win 2.5 units than go 2-0 and win 2 units. That's all i am saying.

I have looked at midd tenn schedule and i think miss state is gonna be there toughest game of the year.Your right,i think my strategy of only betting games from the sec which i follow every week and actually watch all the games gives me an edge. What happened to their qb in the troy game???? Miss state is a better team than troy......I dont think there is better value this week.Im sticking to my first thoughts.MISS STATE LOCK OF THE WEEK.

I dont bet online .I have a guy i bet with but he gets his line from bodog.I wonder why the miss state line is off the board?????

people who bet all the games are just degenerate gamblers and will not beat 11-10

I've seen USF beat Kansas, WVU, and Louisville at home when they were ranked but i've also seen them get blown out by cinnci at rutgers at home so who knows. any ideas?
Sorry I have no thoughts on those games. It would be like me picking heads or tails giving 11-10

lol I actually thought this too when I went to bodog yesterday and saw there was no line for it. I just noticed though above its spot on th page it says "ADDED GAME" so its line may not get put on til later in week.

yeah... you can do better pct wise if you only bet one game
my POTW is 37-29 over the time I've posted on 2p2

however, you are leaving money on the table if you don't bet everything you have an edge on

you have not been paying attention then, lol .I could flip a coin and give you a pick .Im only following the sec close

Ive been playing around reading threads all morning and came across a thread where i posted that i thought the fl ark game over and under would be around 65.I usually dont mess with over and unders but i think i have an edge on this one.Im gonna go ahead and say i really like the OVER 57 and half in this one.I think florida is gonna come out smoking and get ahead by 14 therefore making ark play more of a strictly passing game and with there really good qb they have. This scoreboard should really light up.

LOCK OF THE WEEK MISS STATE -4

likes are south carolina + 17
ark +24
over 57 and half florida ark

good luck everyone

sharky,

i have followed all your picks, and have agreed with all of them so far and that is why i put some sig action on them. nice work.

with that said i am not a huge fan of your logic on the UF/ARK over pick. i am not saying it is a bad pick, cause you think it has value relative to your handicap of 65 pts. i just think you are underestimating just how dominant the UF defense really is. this might be one of the best Ds of all time. i wouldnt put too much faith in the ark offense if you are counting on them to score some pts to win the over.

the good news is that FL can score 40+ pts by themselves

Mississippi St finally opened on Bodog at -4.5 (-105) a little bit ago. Even though I just do this for fun Bodog really pisses me off. Buyin the half goes to (-120)

Threw 2u on it cause sharky gonna do it again this week.
