This is awesome.
Between this and the NBA commissioner stating they are ready to get behind sports betting maybe we will see other states jump on the bandwagon.

Are Wongs still +ev just blindly betting them? I have a guy who offers 2 team, 7 pt teasers at -120, but his lines don't adjust for teasers. He just books "off the board" so to speak.

So, any favorite of -7.5 up to -9.5 would be +ev, and any dog of +0.5 up to +2.5 would also be blindly +ev right?

Still doesn't work for college fb I assume?

I tried to figure out the breakeven for a moneyline of like -7.5 and it seemed really close to breakeven but slightly - for college if I remember right. May have to try again

Basically he is saying if you offer Sports betting NJ will not stop you. The Fed statute says state not allowed to authorize sports betting.

What Christie did is basically equivalent of saying "hey casinos and race tracks, we are not going to authorize sports betting but if you offer it the state of nj will not criminally or civilly prosecute you."

Therefore NJ does not violate Fed statute by authorizing sports betting. Makes it interesting bc now NJ can't be sued if DOJ or sports leagues wish to challenge NJ sports betting.

I think it does open up massive amounts of liability if a casino or racetrack does offer Sports betting though

Monmouth Park Racetrack in NJ has announced that it's optimistic that it will have sports wagering (via William Hill) open by this NFL Sunday and, if not, it should have it open within the next 30 days.

William Hill is about as likely as Roger Goodell to be running a sportsbook in New Jersey under these conditions.

Monmouth Park extended the timeline to 45 days (to get time to install internet/phone lines and hire 111 new employees to run the sportsbook).

Incidentally, this also buys time for a judge to make a ruling on Christie's directive.

This is awesome.
Just created 111 NEW jobs with the potential to create thousands more in an industry that will get the money being spent on sports betting above the table instead of in seedy ass hands.
