Well I was thinking about it a bit more and decided what I wrote was too simplistic. First of all, limits on Texas RL were higher than for Texas ML (20K at -2xx versus 30K ML). Second, the RL market isn't *that* much smaller than ML, especially in this case. So if for whatever reason Bill Gates wants to bet 1MM, a reasonable strategy might be to whack the RL, hope it gets "corrected", lather, rinse and repeat.

That doesn't seem to happen afaik. I bet a lot of these low total +1.5s and pretty much see every time the RL tends to lag behind the ML. In this game Pinn opened the translation badly at +1.5 -202 and by the next morning it reached -218 as the ML actually went a few cents in Texas' direction. Then as Tampa got steamed they both moved in tandem for the rest of the day.

The discussion is regarding the RL at the end of the 3rd inning fwiw.

I meant wrt you using "translation". I just wasn't familiar with that verbiage. I typically use "derivative".

no one owns the continent so you don't need one as long as you stay on US bases. you just get a permit from the us government which lasts as long as you signed up for (either 6 months or 12 months, there's no inbetween since it's pitch dark for 6 months straight and planes can't leave). to get the permit you don't really need any extra ID, just whatever you give them to sign up for the jobs (ssn, photo id, etc.) and whoever employs you takes care of it

if you travel to non US bases (like Russian bases), the Russians could check your passport but no one really cares since the community in general is so small

the only time it could be a problem is if you pull into a foreign country to wait out a storm traveling there or returning. if that happens you will be stuck on the ship or plane until you depart, but since i only traveled there once and left once that never happened to me

That was tongue-in-cheek, I just figured you had to go through other counties to get there, e.g. somehow get to Christchurch and get a boat or a plane from there. I guess you probably went through South America.

depends on who provides the transportation. a lot of the non government companies make you meet them in new zealand and they boat you over, so you would need it there.

i was working for the us government so i took a very small plane to an island in the pacific called Jarvis Island which is owned by the US. did some research on the island and we took a boat from there

lines are killed once they reach a certain total wagered. So when I went down to 7-11 to run this ticket it came back as otb because someone had already smashed it. I think its like 40k or something.

Yeah they pay on bad lines. The lines come out for 3 days at a time so there are sometimes dumb **** like props for game 7 suns/lakers last year when there was no game 7. this let people bet single wagers (as voids push) on stuff like Batista to not hit a HR at 1.5. The system seems pretty arcane for 2010...not sure why they can't just do real-time odds updates. In any case they charge sick juice and rape everyone else with -166 lines on props and minimum 2 teamers!!

Is it kosher to bet multiple selections on alt nhl totals? Like I had an edge on O 4.5 O 5 O 6 at the same book. Do I just take the one with the greatest ev? its a euro book btw.

If they let you, bet all 3, if they complain, only bet 1. If for some reason you don't like trial and error, ask support.

I have been looking for live NHL on Pinnacle. Not sure how I've missed it since I have looked for it on several separate occasions. Any suggestions other than for me to not be dumb?
