i am looming at memphis st judes odds.

they have odds on 50 guys then field

any idea how big the field is? 2.7 to 1 odds look interesting. i think name guys are often overvalued and random recent nationwide guys undervalued (maybe not 1st year guys)

any thoughts as to how many field guys are complete dead money?

didn't add up odds but got them from pinnacle so i would think juice isn't too bad

Rivercity, field at the moment had got 151 runners, so you'd get 101 players, working out the value of them vs the top 50 would be a mega amount work however!

trashman, thx...... where u get top 20 odds? i mostly know of matchups and to win the tourney. neither of those appeal to me

i am going to cut and paste into excel and figure pinnacle's juice. i never remember it being terrible

i use most of the books ^^^^ for top 10/20 finishes, pinny/5d for match ups and betdaq for overall winner bets.

trashman, i see the oddschecker has odds for merrick and kisner to win memphis. i'd be shocked if they were both in top 50 guys and not the field at start of week

if i bet field (the 100 guys beyond the top 50) how do i know who the 50 guys who weren't in the field are?

i like the idea of field bets although there's been huge repitition in winners and major contenders this week

You're betting on: the selected player finishing in the Top 5, 10, 20 etc.
- Top 10 and Top 20 markets will be available on all full field European and PGA events. The Outright each way terms at the start of the tournament will determine the places for place betting.
- Dead heat rules apply. For instance in top 20 betting, a player ties for 20th with 5 other players, i.e. 6 players all tied 20th, a 1/6th reduction to winnings would apply. If 2 players tied for 10th in top 10 betting then a ½ reduction would occur

i think you'd have to print out the top 50 mate.
i got merrick @ 50th in my power rankings so possible chance he was in top 50, but like you say i doubt kisner was.

how did this go?

On the matchups I went 3-2; +1 unit and then won Keegan Bradley @ 70-1 for 28 units. So subtracting the other "to wins" I made 27 units on the Bridgestone. That made it 3 straight weeks picking the winner of tournaments after Els in the Open and Piercy at the Canadian Open. I didn't have Rory last week so the streak ended but did manage to pick up around 18-19 units on full tournament and then round by round matchups (it's in the PGA Championship thread in this subforum).
