When to C/C the river When to C/C the river

I have been having success doing this, and am wondering when the best times to do it are.

Usually, I do it when I have top pair or better on a draw heavy board when the draws don't get there.

So, AKo and the board is Ks Qs 7c 9d 3h.

Obviously, there are times when I miss value where the person has a weaker King, but then again, a lot of weaker Kings are beating me on this board. How can I spot these times better?

you basically want to check/call when you dont have 50% equity vs his calling range, but have enough equity (30% ish) to check call a standard sized bet. if you do some work in stove you will find spots that are common where check calling river makes more sense than bet folding or bet calling.

in your example you probably want to bet river yourself since quite a lot of draws missed you can potentially even get looked up by Qx if he doesnt think you value bet thinly, its unlikely he flat twice with better hand on such a co-ordinated board where rivers kill his action, and he may check back a king whilst almost definitally checking back any queen.

what jack said

it's also important to c/c some holdings that would be 50+ at times when your check range looks super weak and you don't want to cf an exploitably high percent

I will take a c/c line when i'm trying to pot control against an aggressive villain and I have around 40%-50% ish equity.

I'm also a fan of a river c/c line OOP when an aggressive villain has missed an obvious draw.
