Chicago. My wife graduated from NU.

If you hate teaching, why get a masters in education?

What do you think of me (LSgambler). What is your winrate at 200NL?
04-22-2008 , 04:06 AM
uhhhh... usually ppl who start wells or ask me threads know a ton more info about their field of choice than the standard person who views the forums. That's why it works, cos most ppl find out alot of interesting stuff they didnt know.

Always interested in the responses to this. I think he means the top 2-3 moments of sudden enlightenment about the game. Something like the first time you called on the river with Q high because you could only ever put your opponent on a low FD. Something clicks in your brain and you realize in one moment you've made a massive mental move forward with your understanding of the game.

LOL!

Describe how a coach helped you improve on your game...

one of the top moments was when I made a huge call on the river w/ mid pair top kicker for 200bb @ 2/5 nl @ wynn. Villain straddled ( a lagtard, brought over 10k to 2/5nl), I looked down AJd, popped it to 40, folded to him who called. eff stack was 1500.

flop QJ5r, he checked, i made it 70, he called.

turn 6d, he checked, i bet 150, he made it 300, i called

river 7s, he threw in 3 1k chips, i snapped, he turned over 9T, busted str8 draw and I turned AJ and table was like wtf!?

I was like..sorry, owned!

After that hand, that lagtard behaved like my biatch and played a lot tighter.

my coach took a look at my pt stat and then was like..you're too tight, you need to open up your game first. Then he sweat me, told me to open hands I normally wouldn't (like TJs folded to me at co), and i sweat him, asked him questions, played bunch of hands, asked him a lot more questions.
Then my game just sort of clicked after like 50k hands in nl100. After 2 months of nl100, I played quite well and my coach believed i can easily crush nl200 so I moved up, played more, and picked up more things and became more creative and more aggro. I think my nl200 game is to the point where I'd go after certain regs and they can't do anything about me (e.g. sweet.kr, I read his soul like I my naked body in shower).

NH but you haven't explained your thought process at all and have not elaborated on how this is an 'aha' moment in any which way whatsoever.
