Just sat down with villian, have no history or reads with him, so first hand is more just general strategy I think. What overcalls a raise when initial bettor is still to act? What then call initial bettors 4-bet?

is it a draw eveytime?

I think this is a draw most of the time. I would definetely check/fold this. The 8 of hearts either completes a flush or straight here. I don't think he has AQ otherwise he would have probably raised PF. Any additional reads/stats here?

I lead for like 30 here and if he raises i fold. Most of the time he's got a straight draw there and you still have outs on the river if he flats. A good percentage of the time you take it down on the turn if you lead.

If you lead for $30 you cannot fold to his $18 push.

c/f turn

Ok, so I shoved and he called with 45hh (I agree C/F is clearly best, I think I just panicked turn)

I realise it is only one hand, but this guy likes drawing. Given that, should I bet the river here? I think he has a draw, so cannot call me with that. If he slowplayed a set I am dead. If he had two hearts and a random pair I am dead.

But then this is an easy river shove, no ?

Hand #1-- I like a bigger reraise on the flop-- one that leaves absolutely no doubt that the money goes in no matter what the turn card is. as played it sucks, but I still don't think I can get away from it for 3:1.

Hand #2-- I bet 30 or so. If villian whiffed with clubs which is quite likely IMO, we still want to try to get value if somehow he has aX which is also possible. Plus, every once in a while that weak lead will induce a bluff.
